But not Dannys: his problem was that at less than 4ft tall he weighed 11st. I believe 1 stone = 11 pounds.

How do you explain all the fat people who live to be 90?

4ft tall he weighed 11st. Doesn't this article violate EU regulations? The units are not metric! I'm surprised that haven't fined The Sunday Times.

I think there has to be some other issue than the usual diet & exercise thing we've been told. I simply can't believe our diets have so degenerated or that we've stopped doing so much exercise in the past 50 years that we see the results we're seeing. I don't think we're looking hard enough at the whole causes including biochemical issues to explain the data.

How about the Brits leaving our fat kids to us and paying more attention to their own snaggle toothed citizens.

You could have found this many freakishly extreme overweight kids in any country, obviously these kids had not reached such weights by eating more than other kids, but by some rare genetic abnormality.
What next will the Government try to intervene in? I still see lots of scrawny, emaciated teenagers and children everywhere, and in order to meet government standards that is what they would ALL have to be!
Be thankful America DOES have the resources so that some kids can fill out before they hit their twenties.
