Peres and Labor threatened to walk out if they went further.

If you read the article, I believe you will conclude that it is Israeli politics, not US pressure, that is preventing more decisive action. It doesn't do much good to hand Sharon a blank check if he is going to write $3 in the amount space. This thing has got to ripen further, horrible as it may sound. Politics is in part the art of leading a horse to water.

Oh, absolutely, no argument there. And for "Israeli politics" you can just substitute the name "Shimon Peres," as far as I'm concerned. My point, though, is that a) the UN and even US pressure is irrelevant; b) both Bush and Sharon understand this; so therefore c) there's no reason for the US not to score free diplomatic point with the Arab world by issuing strongly-worded condemnations of Israel.

Why doesn't the UN notice that the closer the Palestinians get to a Palestinian state, the more the terrorism intensifies? Zinni shows up, the suicide bombers double, triple, quadruple... get a clue, folks, these creatures don't want peace.

Wrong again! My friend is named SHAWN Morrow, and it is NOT always spelled Sean. I think you should CHILL OUT! Einstein couldn't spell, he didn't even remember his own phone number. He said that there was no reason to waste part of the brain on anything that you can look up in a book, or anything so unimportant as spelling! With proper names you can spell a word anyway you wish!

If someone asks you how to spell a word, fine, stop being rude.
