The ADL is no different from CAIR or the Catholic League or the NAACP or whatever group you want to name. And they all have scandals. At the moment the Catholic League is in the position of having to defend priests who have sinned shall we say.

What is the ADL then?

Ever since Abe Foxman took it over (and pissed off B'nai Brith to the point of them severing ties with ADL), it has been a sort of Jewish "Operation Push". Their views on Israel are nominally conservative Jewish mainstream, their antics are not.

A pathetic attempt to change the subject and smear Catholics. William Donovan is not defending priests who abuse kids. He wants them gone. He has been all over TV saying "the jig is up" get them out, get them out now and don't ever let another molester in the church.

Compare that to the ADL, the NAACP and the Arab group. None of them hardly ever admit a Jews, a black or an Arab did anything wrong. There is always some excuse.

I'd say you admire very much someone who works closely with a group you claim is too "liberal" for you. Put that way it doesn't make much sense, does it?

If you are saying that the org. is a carefully crafted front for conservative Jewish causes, masked as a socialist group, I say "Bravo!". Heck, where do I send my donation!

However, I'm yet inclined to believe that they used this series of legal hassles--or invented them--to obfuscate their true nature. It is no wonder to me that they have files on their own members or like-minded orgs. That's what communist parties do. The info is used to vet members who will direct the greater number of useful idiots among the subscribers.

ADL enjoys the untouchable status of "Never Again-ers" while giving license to the paradigm that allowed the slaughter twelve-million innocent non-combatants in WWII, to wit: anti-freedom; anti-individualist; anti-self-defense; anti-religious; pro-socialist; pro-Clinton; pro-compromise; pro-Liberal. Netanyahu is a war-monger, they have said. "We must have PEACE!!" They invite death.

Maybe ADL means well, but that would also mean the leadership is intellectually , historically, and religiously clueless.

If you are correct--and you may well be: my impressions are based upon no great inquiry--I'm inclined to cut a check to support those foaming-at-the-mouth conservative bastards. Maybe my donation will buy ammo for IDF.

I agree. Donohue doesn't defend individual priests. His job is to call attention to the anti-Catholic bias that exists in the press, on the air, at the colleges and universities, and everywhere else the elitists and leftists like to gather. He speaks up if priests, nuns, or Catholics in general are maligned, but I haven't ever seen him defend abusing priests or bishops.

I heard him on TV the other night absolutely livid and tearing into priests who molest kids. He makes excuses for nobody. As you might expect, the person who said above he was defending molesting priests also posted the following last night:

Figures someone who defends the ADL and claims the Catholic League is just like an Arab terrorist front group would search out such articles.

Thanks. Upshot that I glean: ADL is leftie, and uses vicious immoral tactics to advance the cause of Liberal Israel. I don't see reasons to attribute their operation as representative of the conservative wing of Israeli government. That they reported to the military/intel of the left faction in power at the time of the incidents is no mystery. That the right may still utilize the network is no mystery, either: keeping their enemies closer....

But I still don't think the ADL is an ideological bedfellow of the Right in Israel.

Any donation made would likely be used to further some "peace process".
