Here are my infamous percentages again, as a guide to where to look to solve this case. I do not think Westerfield is guilty of a felony UNLESS HE AND THE VD parent(s)WERE IN CAHOOTS--had a deal. But that is just my personal guess. I have tried not to let that influence what is below.

1. How did Danielle Van Dam leave her home for the last time?

Carried out dead-----------65%

Walked out accompanied by parent or someone she knew/trusted----------23%

Walked out alone, possibly to get help for self or for parents, others, or dog----7%

One or both parent(s) in a conspiracy whether for money or otherwise, roughly coequal guilt with conspirator--15%

Parents guilty only of accessory after fact, withhold guilty knowledge, dispose of body, perjury, and the like but a real abductive felony did occur, placing blame mostly on a third party---7%

Parents completely innocent except possibly of negligence, drugs etc. Abduction took place, classic scenario, parent story basically accurate. 18% of which Westerfield, 12%, other person in the house that night or previously with consent, 5%; total stranger 1%.--18%

After Danielle van Dam was abducted from her Sabre Springs home, neighbors, friends and even strangers volunteered to help out. Some put up fliers in storefronts around the county, and others joined the search party. But many also opened their checkbooks.

As of Friday, more than $33,000 had been donated by people from New Jersey to Oregon. (DONORS known by the VD Club as SUCKERS/SAPS!!!!)

Being respectful is a normal part of communication..there has been SO MUCH disrespectfulness..where do we begin. Rudeness and meanness ruins the message...and if you think that it enhances whatever tripe you spew...you're wrong. It's off-topic, disrupts the threads, ruins the exchange of information and anyone with a lick of sense agrees. So, you go ahead and join the ranks of being in the "right group" in this quest for truth..and I'll join the rest, sit with them on the sidelines and watch the facts as they are revealed throughout the trial etc.. If you've missed a lot of posts from those of us who provided valuable information and INSIGHT, those of us who are NOT in your group, that is your loss. Maybe you need to pay more attention.

Further, I repeat, I don't know anyone who has a life insurance policy on their child, and the vast majority of people don't -- for the reason I stated.

Those policies on children that others and I have mentioned are life insurance policies. They are for a monetary amount and the use of that money is not limited to burials only. The child could have car payments or other obligations. It may not be for 100s of thousands but still substantial.

Great Thread! As I mentioned to Kim, CalDMV records would show new registration or application for title/registration. I don't have the url for CalDMV, or I would research it myself.

All of my reference material, including my big NADA book detailing titling & registration regs for all 50 states has been boxed for shipping back to the land of the Big PX!

She has been open to both sides of the argument. She does not blindly take the VD's side.

I would rather have KIM on here, reading and responding to each person, willing to listen to another's point of view,

Just to make it clear, *I* don't think they used an insurance policy to buy the car. I wrote it because it just gets old hearing everyone automatically assume the worst..like they did here (Danielle van Dam Earth Urn: (Tasteless fund raiser, IMO!!)), when they all either assumed or wanted to believe that the VD's buddies or whoever started the ebay auction for a profit.. I guess savage considers it real insightful too. LOL Maybe savage considers the truth good.

I'm talking about a child, not a teenager. Everyone else here who has weighed in on this agrees that these policies are for small amounts, not suitable for buying any kind of decent car, much less the one they apparently bought. And for the 3rd time, most people don't have them.

You forgot to mention the fact that the van Dam family has called him, and I quote, "evil".

Yes, I noted that, too. Classic projection, IMHO.

I've also wondered whether Brenda, perhaps below the conscious threshhold, has her suspicions about Damon's possible guilt. Why else would she choose that particular thing to show Pierce (the "Daddy please love me" excerpt from Danielle's journal hidden in the nightstand drawer)? Brenda, yanked back by Damon and the prospect of her own perceived culpability in trusting him, and not wanting to come to terms with the "evil" possibility that Damon had to do with Danielle's demise, joins in the vilification of Pierce -- "Yes, HE is evil, not what I fear about the man I depend upon." You get it.

There are also other little clues that Brenda has some doubts about Damon. For example, her testimony that that the dog "busted her nose" by running into Damon's leg (euphemism for "Damon kicked the dog"), full knowing that most folks consider that a man who would harm a pet is also capable of harming a child...

Douglas Pierce seems like a crack pot. Frankly, in making a HIGHLY incendiary insinution like "swinging with children" he absolutely MUST give some sort of corraborating evidence. Just because some goof ball suspects something isn't reason to even entertain the suggestion. We have evidence to suggest the parents swing ... but this???

I notice you all like to attack Kim. I don't understand why. As I go back and read replies, I notice you take the story they 'may' have purchased a BMW and go on and on about how you are so sure they spent the insurance money to get it. Then you yell at Kim for being a "VD" protectionist.

I would say you make it obvious you are a "VD" attacker. You have made up your mind, and no facts will ever change it.

It is just another topic against the parents.. :( This entire scenario should be talked about in appropriate terms to kids..."SEE, THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS when you break laws. This is what happens when you get caught. Keep a clean record so if something terrible happens to you or your children, people won't assume you had something to do with it"
