I guess some pithy comment like "you go girl!" is appropriate, but since I'm a man I will go with "What does the chick look like?"

Interesting stuff. But, this quote:

"One wonders if these proponents of Women’s Studies are actually ‘spies for the patriarchy,’ intending to keep women in their place by ensuring that they think only ‘women’s thoughts,’ and therefore withdraw from the ongoing dialogue about more important matters that continue to take place in society at large."

I wonder what this quote is from - the Duke University study? The article is unclear. But this is truly a hilarious thought, "Women's Studies" departments as tools of the patriarchy to keep women down. I love it.

Maybe "Women's Studies" departments were invented and funded by the CIA ;)

I gotta use this line next time I'm around someone praising "Women's Studies"... I'll just accuse them of defending the patriarchy by keeping women in narrow, go-nowhere career paths! :)

I'm wondering what was the reaction of the instructors in the St. Louis Univ. Women's Studies dept?

Very insightful article...thanks for posting it. IMHO the "NOW" generation has forever tarnished the image of feminists. they have taken the cause and turned it into nothing more than a euphemism for radical abortion supporters.
