I must confess, I'm reading a lot more Weblogs these days (try this link for example), and find their writing and content far more interesting than what I've seen here in awhile.

'Blogs actually force people to string together sentences into a coherent, well-reasoned argument longer than six words, which seems to be the usual length of an FR posted reply.

Is " 'blogs " pronounced as one sylable? Like, rhymes with "logs" or "jogs"? Is it just a truncation or contraction of "weblog"?
