Thanks for posting this Tumbleweed!
From my understanding the Senate has never ratified this treaty
and President Bush has indicated the US WILL NOT be part of this "court."
For the last few days I have seen a select group of FReepers
"worried" about the fate of a known commie, Milosevic, being tried by his commie peers.
Now some FReepers are "upset" that one of his commie aides killed himself.

Let the commies devour each other!
I just find it hard to believe that some FReepers actually think the US military won't protect them
from being dragged off to the UN "court."

The ICC, like the U.N. itself, will be used for political purposes,"

Like Ruby Ridge, Waco and the taking of Elian?

This country is under civilian authority (as it should be), but, can we trust people who pass a freedom restricting law as the p.a.t.r.i.o.t. (read Gestapo Law) and the limiting of free speech under the CFR law? I think not! Can we trust people who want to reward illegal aliens with citizenship? I think not! Can we trust people who voted us into the World Trade Association where people who play by different rules are allowed to determine if our trade policies are fair? I think not!

All these , by themselves, are seemingly not important, but, an overview will show a pattern forming and it's not a healthy one for Americans, IMO

I hope your right Tonkin, all U.N. treaties supercede US laws, even the Supreme Court of the USofA is studying U.N. laws so they will know how to rule.

When our Senate informed the U.N. that even though Clinton signed the treaty, it still was not effective until and unless the Senate ratified it. The U.N. informed the Senate "Your president signed it, your in".

Very bold talk from a one armed man, but the U.N. foresees power for itself that will over ride every nation on earth, that is it's declared goal. When interviewed about their co-control over US government land, the statement was made, "Americans have forfeited their right to control their own resources, due to their urban sprawl and SUV's, someone had to take over."

They are feeling very brazen, and now want their own global tax so they can be self supporting and tell the US to stuff it and that we have lost our veto power, once they have that ability to be self perpetuating there will be no stopping this entity, because the next thing on their wish list is their own global military outfitted with the best weapons that the USofA can supply, and they will attain it.

The U.N. meeting in Mexico was to accomplish this global tax system and there is no word, not one that I have heard about that says if they were successful or what Bush's position was on it, because he repeatedly refused to say before he left for the meeting, even though he had 4,000 letter's before him from concerned political action committees who had contacted the press to try to force an answer from him.

Rumsfield let go of the truth one day and was later slapped for doing so, but his words were indicative of reality, Clinton destroyed what Reagan created to overcome the insurmountable USSR. If it were not for what was left of that decimation America would not have the option to ignore the "UN's calling".

Everyone here realizes freedom comes at a price, unfortunately the Rats are muddying that water with socialistic virtues which ultimately seek to destroy those at the top. In so doing, the government weakens the nation and eventually we are no longer able to be who we want.

Paul said his bill seeks to protect "American citizens against the ICC by urging President Bush to rescind the foolish Clinton administration signature of the ICC treaty." It would also ban "the use of U.S. taxpayer funds for the court, and deems ICC actions against U.S. servicemen acts of aggression against America," said a statement issued by Paul's office.

Bump!!!

"I just find it hard to believe that some FReepers actually think that the US military won't protect them from being dragged off to the UN 'Court'."

I suspect it is going to depend on who is in charge of the US military. Do you think that Clinton would have ordered the US Army or Navy to prevent the arrest of or rescue from UN detention an American citizen accused of some 'crime against humanity'?
