The intel would have been available without the dead innocent civilians.
There was no basis to look weak and two faced about terrorism.
To: Diogenesis
Which dead, innocent civilians?
The Israelis blown up during dinner or the terrorists dressed in everyday clothes?
To: right_to_defend
Because we needed to show the world that we did all that was possible to bring the two sides together. Now, we can say, "to hell with it". Let's Roll!

Hallejujah!!!! Heavens rejoiced and praised be God the Father of us all. The wishy washy Colin Powell did something right for once in his life and preserved the Bush Doctrine's moral clarity in NOT compromising with terrorism. For the sake of real peace, Arafat has got to be expelled and his regime has to be ripped up by the roots and totally and utterly destroyed. I trust he has finally run out of chances. And Colin, please help Israel to find a responsible Palestinian leadership with whom it can make peace with. But first, let's get rid of the Middle East's Numero Uno terrorist, who murders not only Jews, but his own people in his perverted drive to destroy the Jewish state.

Saudi Arabia have agreed to favorable oil export policies over the past few years. Saudi Arabia has financed and is even now financing terrorism, is behind the Wahabis and Osama, is the probable source of the Anthrax used in USA, owned most of the crazies that flew into the WTC, is still trying to find ways to kill and maim Americans while buying off the American public and government... are you sure you'd call these critters "unproblematic"??

Send a nice Molotov cocktail over to Arafart's table...

Yea, yea, then Venezuela can open the spigots wide, they deserve all the petrodollars they can get.

I'm pretty much hearing that Powell's meeting with Arafat is off according to CBS Radio news in SLC as of 5:55pm Mountain. I'm not hearing that it has been rescheduled.

You got that right. Today there were Freepers wanting us to "nuke the hell outta the Arabs" and bashing Colin Powell for even going there; now he says there will be NO MEETING and they're still not happy.
Jeez. Ya know?

Right now I consider Saudi Arabia about as much of a friend as I would a rattlesnake. You may walk by it 20 times and it won't bite, but the 21st, and it hits.
And who knows who they're hiding over there.
I don't trust them as far as I can throw them.

Reporting tidbit you didn't get in Amerika....I get "extra fibre" in my news now from Radio Israel and the TV News on Real Player there. What AP etc didn't say was that Powell had just got airborne in a helio and when the pre-Shabat terorist blew her-brainwashed-self and others up, Powell was diverted there and looked over the latest bombing from above, hovering above.
Maybe he took some happy snaps to show whoever will be the next PLO leader.
Pray for the IDF.
The UN should hold a properly supervised democratic government elections in the West Bank and Gaza. Get democracy, proper educational facilities and fair media into that "people" and get the PLO mafia into jail for life.

What difference is there between Arafat today and Arafat last week?
He hadn't quite insulted or lied to everyone in the Whitehouse yet?? Just a guess.
To: Rome2000
I bet that Powell had a "Vietnam" flashback while flying over the carnage.

Do you think that having the Israeili helicopter pilot
ordered to fly Secretary Powell directly
over the carnage site had anything to do with this? Absolutely. Were we trying to improve things, as the world was moaning and groaning that "we" weren't doing enough, yet we go over there and people here are raising up a storm of hell because he's
there. Now he can say, "I tried, they don't want peace".
And not one single demorat can say a damn thing.
Let's send Hillary over. Forever.

The new President of Venezuela has just announced that they ARE going to open the spigots wide, and do what's right for Venezuela and not for OPEC.
