I can easily respect people like yourself. A friend of mine is a vegetarian. When she became pregnant, she craved meat so she ate it. No big deal. It's a shame when the fanatics force this on their kids though.

Check out Gen 1:29,30 and then Gen 9:3. No meat before the flood.

Also of interest is Lev. chapter 11. Here God does tell people not to eat certain meats.

I personally do not think it's wrong to eat meat, probably any meat. However, I have heard arguments for only eating the "clean list" we find in Lev. 11, and that is probably a healthier way to eat meat, because if you look at the "unclean list" you'll find the parasite ridden and the bottom/carrion feeders there.
