Dave, I just heard a caller mention the rally and FreeRepublic on Sean Hannity's show. I didn't catch her name, but it's great that the call got through. Good luck tomorrow!

We printed his explanation of the Pledge in the school newspaper (well, we modified it some to make it more interesting-looking and eye-catching as an infographic), but I also have it on my website in full. I think it is a really neat explanation.

Make sure to bump me to every thread on this tomorrow while I am having fun at prom. I want to see the reports about how the rally went! I hope the turnout just stuns the left.

Sorry to "rain" on your "parade" people (pun intended) ;-) , but the forecast for tomorrow looks grim. Here it is:
ZONE FORECASTS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BALTIMORE/WASHINGTON
330 PM EDT FRI APR 19 2002
DCZ001-VAZ054-200730-
ARLINGTON-DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA-
INCLUDING THE CITIES OF...ALEXANDRIA...ARLINGTON...FALLS CHURCH... WASHINGTON
330 PM EDT FRI APR 19 2002
SATURDAY
SHOWERS LIKELY WITH A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS. HIGHS IN THE MID 70S. LIGHT WEST WIND INCREASING LATE IN THE MORNING TO 10 TO 15 MPH. CHANCE OF RAIN 70 PERCENT.
I wish I could make it down, but with no transportation and the chance of thunderstorms (I've had near-misses with lightning), I think I'm not going to make it. Good luck to all you brave souls who make it tomorrow and rough it out!

Dave, I'm glad you received my fax of Red Skelton's Pledge of Allegiance.
Please have a fellow FReeper Vet read it at the kick-off of the rally.
I'm going to freep-mail you my cell and home number (as a back up...only have one hard land line...can't be on line and rcv calls.. but do have caller ID)...so pass my numbers around to fellow FReepers in order that I can post real time, real deal info.
Best FReegards...Mustang sends.

Valley Forge...
We aren't parading...
And we aren't college students looking for transportation...
Toughing it out is much more than your dire predictions on what we might face out there my friend.
See you next time when we have a 100% prediction of a "fair weather" event...

I did have parade in quotations, and I don't appreciate your implication that I'm a "fair weather friend." (no pun this time) Perhaps spending money on my education is more important than getting a car.

In retrospective, I see why you may have a slight beef with me, since I posted the forecast. I apologize if this may discourage others from going. But it's not like most people aren't going to be looking at the forecast anyway.

Have fun. Remember to boo the speaker if he/she expresses support of the amateur proctologist airport brigade or the Patriot-in-name-only Act. Of course, cheer like crazy when he/she expresses support of our troops.

We owe you a lot of thanks - you helped make this happen and it is most appreciated. EAGLES UP for today's Patriots Rally for America - regardless what the weather might hold the sun shall be shining on FR and all our nation's patriots today.
