This is shocking. They probably all believe by holding hands and singing kumbaya Osama bin Laden and his monkeys will stop terrorizing the world! Idiots!

The Austrailians are tough I bet most of the gun owners kept their arms anyway.

These people have lost their minds altogether.
I saw another article where they pat down the public for knives now too!

I wonder how many APLO's are grateful for their new position as members of the kindler, gentler Death Wish Squad?
I hope they get hit with wholesale resignations.
This is stunningly stupid even for a bureaucrat.

Idiots. I am beginning to wonder if the Indonesians and Chinese don't deserve to take OZ. At least they'll fight for it.

The Austrailians are tough I bet most of the gun owners kept their arms anyway. Well, some tried, anyhow. The problem is that they were all registered,so the cops knew who had them. The REAL "Crocodile Dundee" was one of the people who tried to keep his rifles. He was killed in a shootout with the police at a roadblock they set up to confiscate his guns and arrest him.

There's a lot of lessons there. First, never register anything. Second, the BATF is working like mad to create a virtual national registration data base from old sales records etc.

Oh well the Aussies always struck me as manly guys this gun control BS will pass.

What are they doing down there, clearing the way for China's triumphant entry?
To: tarawa
..in Australia, recent gun prohibitions have all but disarmed the public...That's completely untrue.
I can never understand these supposedly pro-gun sites that tell complete lies in an attempt to alarm people into taking up their cause. The simplest check on Google would show that hunting and shooting are very popular here, and that Australians enjoy high levels of gun ownership. I guess they figure there's a few idiots on the Web who are too lazy, or too stupid, to check the facts?
To: weikel
...the Austrailians are tough I bet most of the gun owners kept their arms anyway...Compliance rate with the gun buy back was 28% on the government's own figures, weikel.
To: Travis McGee
...Idiots. I am beginning to wonder if the Indonesians and Chinese don't deserve to take OZ...Trav, has there ever been any negative propaganda about Australia, posted on FR, that you haven't swallowed hook, line, and sinker?
(Don't bother answering.)

..he was killed in a shootout with the police at a roadblock they set up to confiscate his guns and arrest him...No.
He shot a cop, from ambush, and was then shot himself. A cop with a young wife and new baby, I might add. Rod Ansell was no hero, Pete.
