Fellow Georgia Freepers, Greetings.

We need to get some slogans together by Friday at the latest, so I can produce some stencils.

Also need an estimation of how many pieces of white board we need, and sizes needed.

I do own a digital camera, and will bring it to record our Frreeep!!!

I finally heard back from Public Safety and their e-mail says there will be a $100.00 permit fee for what they call a special event. I am going to call again and try to determine what qualifies as a special event. Depending on how many people we expect we may be able to get by without a special permit.

Thanks for following up on that. Seems absurd they can limit 1A rights by charging a fee, but there you have it. I'll hold off on a new thread until we get that duckie in line.

We will be required to obtain a permit. The fee is $100.00 and a sanitation bond of $100.00 that will be refunded. I was told that I needed to get the application ASAP if I wanted a permit for the 18th.

I'll get the application filled if we are sure there are enough people interested. There is apparently another political rally in front of the court house that same day. I am not sure for whom. Let me know what you think.

I'm in for my share of the $100-- I'm out of town till Saturday 5/11 so I won't have any more comments till then. But I'm definitely on for 5/18. We need to get the new FREEP thread up soon, FreedomPoster. People need to plan now for a Saturday FReep.

Lovely day for a Freep.

I'll get the application in on Thursday. The "event" has to have a title. Someone out there more creative than myself can come up with something. If anyone has questions about Decatur, I am glad to help.
