Cooley Dickinson Hospital

Good investment. Gays buy a lot of health care.

Sponsors for the 2002 Pride March included the Northampton Area Lesbian & Gay Business Guild, Kidsports, WRNX radio, Diva's Nightclub and the Cooley Dickinson Hospital.

I guess they are going to add Sports for Gay Kids to their site. Despicable.

I generally like Massachusetts News, but complaining about dykes in Noho is a bit like ordering a vegetarian meal at Mortons.

Northampton made the news a few years ago as the "dyke capital" of the country.

Its a shame because they once elected my favorite President of the 20th century (Calvin Coolidge) mayor.

Puhleeze, can't we go back to 1950s culture where such things were not even thought of, let alone discussed or displayed openly? Life was so much more wholesome then.

(And no flames from anybody who wants to tell me what their great uncle REALLY did in the cow shed.)

Dignity USA, a movement comprised of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered Catholics, handed out brochures about "what the Bible really teaches about homosexuality," as one organization member explained to those who stopped by his table.

Yep.

I find this as distasteful as anyone, but I would like to read just one article about homosexuals that doesn't use the phrase "rammed down our throats." I realize it is done intentionally for effect, but it's a little trite.

Little Children Featured at Northampton's 'Gay Pride'

I guess this is just another thing the libs can claim "it's all for the children" now. I knew that tinky winky thing would get out of hand.

Did anyone ask them about their relationship to NAMBLA and other sex criminals? How many of them have sexually molested little children? Put the lot of them on an island with serial predator Paul Shanley and let them rot.

The entertainment for the day included a comedy skit that was performed by "Up with (Gay) People!" It featured a duo named Sandy and Christy who were played by Kelsey Flynn and Julie Waggoner. The pair shared this dialogue with the audience:

"We used to be scared straight. Scared straight was a federally-funded program in which pardoned, former homosexuals - such as Sandy and myself - went to colleges, universities and various public gatherings around the country bringing our message of hope to vulnerable, impressionable young people, such as yourselves, before it was too late. We wanted you to get scared straight. But after long, hard, honest self-reflection …We're no longer scared straight. Huh-uh. No. Now we are comfortable with our homosexuality, and we want you to be, too."

This is considered comedy? < nausia >

Another little boy - wearing a red boa - sat in a jeep, which bore this message: "We're Here. We're Queer. Our parents think we're studying."

It's good to see the gays have the best interests of the child at heart! < /sarcasm >

Oh geeze...yeah, is it May again already? Must have completely slipped my mind. I knew there was a reason I decided not to go back to Western Mass last weekend, at the last minute. Do they still do that goofy Women's Music Festival deal in the summer?

I agree with that guy who was quoted in the article. I can't say that I approve of this sort of stuff, like dressing kids up in drag, and forcing them to participate, but I don't have any actively directed hate towards these people.

What I don't understand is why these people engage in such publically lewd and outragous behavior (toplessness, leather gear, etc etc), and then whine and moan when called to task on it. Back in the 60's, when many black people were struggling for equal rights, most of them usually did it WITHIN the system. Those who were too radical (Black Panthers, etc) were rightly marginalized by everyone involved.

It's one thing to be proud of your identity, whatever that might be, but its another thing to FORCE others to share that same pride.

But as long as they aren't personally bothering me, I couldn't care less. I find your average homosexual far less offensive to me personally than say, your average black radical Maoist (ahh...saw plenty of those kind of people in Ann Arbor...)

And for what it's worth, Mitt Romney doesn't have a snowbals chance. Aside from everything else wrong with him, Massachusetts is just NOT ready for a Mormon Governer. I'm almost tempted to vote for O'Brief, just because she's a "local girl" from Easthampton. (heh heh)

The homosexual lifestyle is probably getting shoved down their throats," said Quaadman

That's probably not the only thing being shoved down their throats....

In past years, fundamentalist Christians protested the Pride March, but Saturday's event had no opposition.

This is sad to here if it is true. However since the Liberal media loves to lie I'm sure there must have been some protestors.

The gay agenda is really an exercise in futility. I don't have any real numbers, but don't homosexuals live a much shorter life than others?(I've never really seen any homosexuals over 60) Are they not 70-80% more suseptable of getting AIDS or other STD's that could be threatening to their life? Dont they have a much higher suicide rate?

Not to be morbid, but arent they just thinning the herd?
