The WTC was hit twice ( can't do tat agian ! ), the Pentagon makes some sort of sense; as does the White House.Hotting a building on Wall Street, won't do anything to the markets, as there are duplicate and triplicate files. The exchanges in Chicago ? Doubtful, as they are all now ringed ( in case o exploding tryck bombs ) , as in the Sears Tower. Flying more planes into buildings ? As another poster said, won't happen again.
No, the warnings aren't being sent out, because of the upcoming elections. Get real. It's just CYA and for public show. What's going on, behnd the secenes, is the real deal, and NOT for public consumption.

Read or reread that old book , and you'll know what I mean It's something that worked rather well, against the Muslims, and OBL is smarting over... along with every other Muslin defeat, that ever occurred. Sir Richard Burton, the ONLY nonMuslim, to ever make the Haj, understood these eople well. His bio is fascinating. Therein, lie more clues; for those interested enough, in trying to find them.

The question he was asked was how real was the implied threat that Former President Bush had made, that we would use nuclear weapons on Saddam if he used chemical or bio weapons during Desert Storm. Powell told him it was a bluff, that we had no intention of using them nor would we have used them.
He said that the joint chiefs had not even discussed using them. I was stunned, I could not believe that anybody with any kind of military background could say such a thing. The host even aked twice, because I think he was shocked also. That threat has been one of the most valuable tools this country has had and probably saved hundreds of lives in desert storm much less the cold war. If we go into Iraq I wonder what it will cost us.
That day, I lost any and all respect for Powell as a military man, Secretary of State, or even as a person with common sense.

Unfortunately milion people will have to die before our politicians will start real war with ragheads domestically and world wide. Remember Pearl Harbour?
The thing is Roosevelt needed Pearl Harbour to convince American population of neccesity of fighting war with nazizm, the sad thing now is that PC, UN and worldwide "opinion" comes before our national security and interest.
They are crying, that's for sure. Why they are choosing to do so with seeming regularity is the big question. Genuine concern? CYA? Do they feel that keeping a little fear simmering is to their advantage? Do they feel that such warnings will make any terrorist think twice about attempting an attack because "we're all ready and watching because we were warned, so there is no chance of success?" Could be any, or a combination of all, or none of these for all we know.
As to the prospect of another attack, you nor I nor any other American wants it to happen. But if the CIAs statement is to be believed, we are guarenteed another one. So, what do we do with this knowledge as individuals? At this point about all we can do is hope for the best but expect the worst. And IMHO, until we decide to make some dramatic changes in a few areas, most notably our borders and immigration, expecting the worst won't be time spent worrying over nothing.
Ah, but you see, this was a classic use of the dreaded double dog bluff where the statement that the threat was a bluff was in itself a bluff! If questioned again about his statement, Powell, highly trained in bluff and anti-bluff tactics, would most likely invoke the heretofore rarely used triple dog bluff, which is so confounding that no one yet has been able to decipher its true meaning or intent.</sarcasm>
I was shocked also. It is totally amazing that most of our representatives in Washington are doing just the opposite today and acting like 9/11 never occurred. They will be totally responsible for the next attack. But somehow or other I don't think they give a damn.
