EMINEM BATTLES CHENEY
Drudge Report ^ | MAY 12 | Drudge

Posted on 05/13/2002 6:52:27 PM PDT by Jewels1091

RapperActor Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, fires back at Lynne Cheney, wife of Vice President Dick Cheney, in a new CD set for release next month by UNIVERSAL.

Rapping on the track WHITE AMERICA from the upcoming EMINEM SHOW, obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT, Mathers declares: "F*@k you, Miss Cheney!"

The rap attack comes after Cheney appeared before a Senate committee to condemn Eminem's music.

"Blood, guts, guns, knives, lives, wives, nuns, sluts. It is despicable. It is horrible," she said in 2000, quoting the lyrics of pop music's bad boy.

"He is a violent misogynist. He advocates raping and murdering his mother in one of his songs. He glories in the same song and the idea that he might murder any woman he comes across. He talks about how he will choke the women he murders slowly so that their screams will last for a long time."

Mathers fires back in the new song: "F*@k you with the freeness of speech this Divided States of Embarrassment will allow you to have! F*@k you!"

UNIVERSAL plans a June 4 release of the recording. It is expected to become the top-selling disc of the summer.

Not to risk being labeled a democrat shill: former VP wife/lyrics fighter Tipper Gore also comes under Eminem's rage.

"F*@k you, Tipper Gore!" repeats the Detroit native.

It's entertaining the way people are all up in arms about Mathers, it's like they think he came from an alien planet and used Evil-XRay force to make people buy his records.

A lot of stupid people say stupid things, but Universal dosn't have to provide them with a platform, the scary part is the expectation of it becoming the top seller of the summer...there must be alot of sick people who want to pay to hear it. They shouldn't be able to sell this kind of stuff, not because it's illegal, but because nobody in their right mind should buy it.

Alot of people in other countries who are innundated with American consumerism feel the same way. Some people say that's why we're hated.......do you feel they are justified in their hatred of us?

,,, to the contrary, it's worked for a slum product like enema-m. It's a shame there's so much talent going unrecognised when something like him can get to the top of the pile. The US is easily satisfied. Capitalism has worked brilliantly for me, but then I've worked for what I've got too. Once it all crashes for enima-m he'll be a latter day Bobby Brown fowlmouthing his way thru a karaoke routine on the fringe of Greektown or somewhere, but remembered for trying to be a musical Lenny Bruce. Time will record it.

That would be childishly rude, crass, selfish and disruptive of you. Hmm. I guess you HAVE learned a lot from cRap music.

Your mistake is in giving cRap music credit for being in any way creative or original. Those behaviours you describe were well established as early as 1966.

They do not have to listen to American music or watch American movies if they don't want to. American pop culture is popular in foreign countries for the same reason Organized Crime manages to stay prevalent in American society--because there is a popular demand for it, no matter how much a certain faction of society may hate it or how much it may be an anathema to civilized society.

In any art form there is crap and there are those that raise the bar artistically. Rap is no different than any other musical form. I used to hate rap until I worked with many, many talented individuals who had alot on there minds and brought it to the fore in a musically creative and culturally shattering way.

Rap is the folk music of today, as much as Dylan or Guthrie's music was the street music of yesteryear.

I hate rap music, but to each his own.My parents hated rock. I guess each generation needs to find something that offends their parents...I don't want to know what the children of todays rap fans will listen to that offends them.(probably Lawrence welk)
I hope this dosn't represent American culture to the world.

Speaking for myself, being part of the rest of the world and quite a distance from the US, we're not all that stupid.

Lord Jesus, if possible, turn him around and save him dramatically as you did Saul.

If there's no remote possibility of that because of his free will--then may he experience a rapid reaping of what he has sown in order to remove him from the public arena and further incurring of greater punishment for himself and millions who go gah gah over him.

If your Holy Spirit and wisdom have another solution--please effect it as soon as practicable.

PLEASE CHANGE HIM; REMOVE HIM FROM THE PUBLIC STAGE; or otherwise REMOVE HIM FROM ANY POSSIBLE INFLUENCE OF YOUTH in our era.

I'm not safe, holy enough nor kind enough to be let loose thinking up options . . . but supernatural: speechlessness and an incapacity to think of, write lyrics could be interesting. It might also be interesting if he had relentless, vivid nightmares every night of being a female victim of his scenarios.

In your precious Name, Amen.

Thanks for your opinion. My dad said the Beatles were noise and The Jackson Five a threat to our culture.

He's now a computer freak who enjoys listening to Yesterday and Let It Be (although he regards Michael Jackson as a flaming weirdo....to which I now concur).

I honestly would not be surprised. I have heard many bad things about Alec Baldwin besides his horrendous political views. I believe that Kim Basinger filed for divorce, citing Baldwin's explosive temper as the main reason for her leaving him.

Concerning her relationship with Eminem, I wonder if Eminem ever had a positive mother figure in his life...
