RapperActor Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, fires back at Lynne Cheney, wife of Vice President Dick Cheney, in a new CD set for release next month by UNIVERSAL.
Rapping on the track WHITE AMERICA from the upcoming EMINEM SHOW, obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT, Mathers declares: "F*@k you, Miss Cheney!"
The rap attack comes after Cheney appeared before a Senate committee to condemn Eminem's music.
"Blood, guts, guns, knives, lives, wives, nuns, sluts. It is despicable. It is horrible," she said in 2000, quoting the lyrics of pop music's bad boy.
"He is a violent misogynist. He advocates raping and murdering his mother in one of his songs. He glories in the same song and the idea that he might murder any woman he comes across. He talks about how he will choke the women he murders slowly so that their screams will last for a long time."
Mathers fires back in the new song: "F*@k you with the freeness of speech this Divided States of Embarrassment will allow you to have! F*@k you!"
UNIVERSAL plans a June 4 release of the recording. It is expected to become the top-selling disc of the summer.
Not to risk being labeled a democrat shill: former VP wife/lyrics fighter Tipper Gore also comes under Eminem's rage.
"F*@k you, Tipper Gore!" repeats the Detroit native.
You're too kind to the record companies. Their goal seems to be to find recording "artists" who will do anything to gain fame and make a buck. I figure it's because their goal is to sell more records, and if they can get impressionable kids to buy this junk that sounds awful, they won't listen to it much and the stars will fade before they can demand the big bucks that groups like the Stones, Aerosmith, etc. do. It must be much easier for the companies to deal with untalented commercial twerps who have no interest in evolving.
Want good music? Go to the small venues. That's where you'll find good music, from talented, developing artists who haven't sold out!!
That'd be you, chief.
You are picking the finest of nits to assert that Stan is in third person.
And the absolutely amazing thing is-- he would be an enormous improvement. What a concept -- your daughter brings Eminem home and you do cartwheels of joy.
Another addition for the publisher's CIRCULAR FILE!!
Isn't that exactly what the left in this country and around the world is always trying to do? Silence anyone who is critical or not PC? I'm no fan of the bleach blonde twit...but I have no problem with his lyrics....I don't buy his albulms...so I don't support him financially. Sorry....but censorship is a left wing monologue...those of us on the right should be the first to uphold the constitution and the freedoms it bestows on us.
I hope you didn't kick your dog a hundred times to get to that state of mind...
The vulgarity of his so-called (imo) music needs to be addressed. The cursing, demeaning attitude towards women, violence, etc. is overboard. Elvis' lyrics of 'Love Me Tender' are far different than M&M's of killing someone and raping his mother.
Parents have, for far too long, treated their responsibility with apathy...allowing their kiddos to listen to music that doesn't edify the soul but rather, destroy it. The Should every person, including Cheney and Tipsy treat this with apathy?
Your mocking attitude prevents you from hearing the truth.
They should take care of the morality of their own families or have we forgotten the bush girl's antics?
My point remains. Teens are, by nature, by and large, are rebellious as respects adult's likes and dislikes, therefore, if they know an adult dislikes something, they will gravitate toward it.
What happens when a book is banned in Boston? The author makes a ton of money because of curiosity by the public who go out and buy the book.
Lynn Cheney and Tipper Gore are hardly political figures to be reckoned with. Lynn Cheney *does* however, have great influence in the way of education (but doesn't support the NEA). Tipsy *is* a joke no matter what lane she travels on so actually we may agree on her. :o)

And therein lies the important factor of open communication and a close relationship between parent and child. The responsibility of parenthood is *not* for the faint of heart. I would venture to say that a large number of those who openly rebell are the kiddos left to raise themselves. I see it often in our community and certainly in our neighborhood. It's important to teach from an early age, a worldview about music and other important subjects in order to look at it with a discerning eye.
Should you not agree with my opinion, perhaps you could offer another way to parent or have a public voice about this subject. Thanks.
***To parents who are themselves insecure in their faith and, like the 19th century English radical John Thelwall, think it "unfair to influence a child's mind by inculcating any opinions before it should have come to years of discretion, and be able to choose for itself," there is an enlightening anecdote in Samuel Taylor Coleridge's Table Talk for July 27, 1830
"I showed John Thalwell my garden, and told him it was my botanical garden. 'How so?' said he, 'it is covered with weeds.' - 'Oh," I replied, 'that is only because it has not yet come to its age of discretion and choice. The weeds, you see, have taken the liberty to grow, and I thought it unfair in me to prejudice the soil towards roses and strawberries."***
