EMINEM BATTLES CHENEY
Drudge Report ^ | MAY 12 | Drudge

Posted on 05/13/2002 6:52:27 PM PDT by Jewels1091

RapperActor Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, fires back at Lynne Cheney, wife of Vice President Dick Cheney, in a new CD set for release next month by UNIVERSAL.

Rapping on the track WHITE AMERICA from the upcoming EMINEM SHOW, obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT, Mathers declares: "F*@k you, Miss Cheney!"

The rap attack comes after Cheney appeared before a Senate committee to condemn Eminem's music.

"Blood, guts, guns, knives, lives, wives, nuns, sluts. It is despicable. It is horrible," she said in 2000, quoting the lyrics of pop music's bad boy.

"He is a violent misogynist. He advocates raping and murdering his mother in one of his songs. He glories in the same song and the idea that he might murder any woman he comes across. He talks about how he will choke the women he murders slowly so that their screams will last for a long time."

Mathers fires back in the new song: "F*@k you with the freeness of speech this Divided States of Embarrassment will allow you to have! F*@k you!"

UNIVERSAL plans a June 4 release of the recording. It is expected to become the top-selling disc of the summer.

Not to risk being labeled a democrat shill: former VP wife/lyrics fighter Tipper Gore also comes under Eminem's rage.

"F*@k you, Tipper Gore!" repeats the Detroit native.

It's quite impossible to imagine that he might be a psychopath who uses a character as a thin (shall we say slim?) disguise behind which he can express his psychoses. Quite impossible.

On more than a few occasions I've resorted to blasting a classical cd with my windows open to drown out the thump thump squeek of the RAP at the stop light.

I prefer my copy of Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music!

That means "It stinks." Brush up on your reading comprehension.

I answered your earlier "it stinks" comment appropriately. Go back and read it again....and again.... Better yet, lay off the J.D. ;)

That's the defense you're using?

Scanned a bit, didn't see it, sorry. Your poor attempt at verse is justified by someone else's spelling error, perhaps? Whatever.

Lou Reed's pretty nihilistic himself. Perhaps we should have a thread of people bitching about him.

Defense? Your post indicates that your position has become untenable, you are backtracking and attempting to narrow your position in hopes of salvaging some credibility.

That, of course, is not mathematically possible, but please do enjoy the effort.

I would have thought you'd remove your first foot out of your mouth prior to inserting the second. ;)

In the classic sense, no.

Lynn Cheney is a voice in the world of education. She does plenty to get the word out on many issues.

This fool will be long forgotten in a few years and replaced by an even more dispicable punk. He will end up in jail or in rehab and will be featured on VH-1 Behind the Music. I hope his fall from the spotlight is pure hell and torture.

Wrong! We are showing that we have morals and standards and are concerned when our society is debased. I am for freedom of speech if it is constructive and positive. I am not for freedom of speech that is destructive or corrupts our children. By the way, we do not have total freedom of speech, countless Supreme Court decisions have put limits on speech. One of the first things children are taught in civics class is that with every right come responsibilities. Speech that ignores responsibility is not protected by the 1st amendment.

I used to take up for rock bands and their music when my dad was trying to tell me how bad they were. My replies sounded a lot like some of the things you are saying in defense of this garbage. Then I grew up. If rap music is so important to you that you would make excuses for Eminiem, I would suggest you reevaluate your priorities.

She's in on the movement to nationalize "education standards," bring the private schools under them with vouchers and making sure all the children "think" the exact same way.
