How is she racist? She is clearly anti-Islamism (and I make this point based on not only this column, but others that I have read as well), but that doesn't necessarily entail racism as a matter of course.

As for her comments on France, I agree with Ohioan that it is far too early to give up on France, as Ms. Schussel seems to have already done. In fact, the very fact that Jean-Marie got 17% more of the corresponding Presidential vote than did Pat Buchanan shows that we could, in fact, learn from France.
