Why do I carry even when i go to the grocery or video store?
Man, nothing worse than leaving your gun at home and getting shot in the head by some punk - how senseless.

"Witnesses told police a man around 20 years old with apparent acne scars and long blond hair was seen driving away in a 1980s-model Ford Mustang."

Hope he is found soon.

Compare that to this story from FR a few months ago:

Suspect Killed During Video Store Robbery

Two shot, one killed, as robbery attempt foiled by father of video store employee

By AUTUMN C. GIUSTI (autumn.giusti@news-jrnl.com)
Staff Writer

ORANGE CITY -- Keeping watch while his son closed out the cash register, Robert Shockey parked outside the neighborhood video store armed with a .45-caliber handgun, just as he had done for the past two months.

Until Monday night, Shockey thought he'd never have to pull the trigger.

But at about 11:45 p.m., he fired four shots at a pair of robbers, killing one and injuring the other, after they tried to hold up the Blockbuster Video store on Enterprise Road, a sheriff's spokesman said.

"It's not something I'm real proud of, but it's something I had to do," Shockey said Tuesday.

Sad thing is, it's probably going to get worse now that Blockbuster has decided to expand it's video game products inventory. Lots of demand for those goods & difficult to ID stolen game carts.

Alabamais a Right-To-Carry state, if I were a relative of the deceased, & the deceased or any other employee had a CCW permit and store policy denied the right to carry while at work, I'd sue for certain. Blockbuster was clearly neglegent in providing a secure workplace, systems like bullet proof glass and security guards etc.

Another event where a CCW holder could have made a difference, and another reason to carry 24/7

Doesn't have to go down that way Florida Blockbuster Shooting, but if Blockbuster has that policy, they are culpable.
