A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 5/15 and 5/16/02

This is a special double-edition daily dose due to FR being down yesterday...

President Bush and his administration were in the defensive today as Democrats and the media swarmed around revelations that the President was given a general warning about possible hijackings before September 11th. It was revealed later in the day that the very same Democrats leading the negative charge, Tom Daschle and Dick Gephardt, also knew of the briefings yet failed to let the media know. By the end of the day, it was the Republicans in Congress leading the charge and taking the Democrats to task for their usual games of partisan slander.

This afternoon, in a move to give the public more knowledge on the exact nature of the briefings, National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice confronted the media with detailed national security intelligence in the months leading up to September 11th. It was made clear that the intelligence briefings given to the President were not specific or detailed enough to prevent the suicide bomber attacks.

In much lighter news, the President began the day at the First Annual National Hispanic Prayer Breakfast. Later he presented the Congressional Gold Medal to President Ronald Reagan and his wife, Nancy.

Your intent is to cause trouble in any form you can muster. Now take your ball and jacks and go home.

You go, Girl! Any idiot ought to know not to mess with us Bush Babes tonight of all nights!

I have NO patience with these losers any more! They are all wimpy, insecure, effeminate jerks who hate that the President has courage, character, masculinity and popularity, and they don't.

A POX be upon all bashers!!!!

Prior to 93, I would have voted for a rare conservative democrat. Now I feel that politician who is a part of the democratic party is okay with what the democrats have done in the last nine years and how far down they have come. I still remember the immortal words of former president reagan: "I did not leave the democratic party....it left me."

Hello everyone - Today's Proverbs is from Chapter 11 and is a reminder of the forces at work especially today:

5 The righteousness of the blameless makes a straight way for them,
but the wicked are brought down by their own wickedness.

6 The righteousness of the upright delivers them,
but the unfaithful are trapped by evil desires.

7 When a wicked man dies, his hope perishes;
all he expected from his power comes to nothing.

8 The righteous man is rescued from trouble,
and it comes on the wicked instead.

9 With his mouth the godless destroys his neighbor,
but through knowledge the righteous escape.

10 When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices;
when the wicked perish, there are shouts of joy.

11 Through the blessing of the upright a city is exalted,
but by the mouth of the wicked it is destroyed.

Plenty of time to repair what damage may have been done. The bigger question is who else knew of the President's plan? Were any of the intellegence committees briefed in this? We know that a few Dems are hard wired into radical Islamic groups. Dissemination of information like this among those groups could have worked its way to one or more of the participants and could have changed the time table for the attack.

My guess is either one might work. I double checked my email (which shows 20013) but I will call in the a.m. and check with them to make sure.

What eskimo and his ilk are really frustrated about is bush's sustained high approval ratings. They come here to vent their frustration. Very unbecoming.

"I did not leave the democratic party....it left me."

Funny, those are almost the precise words my husband used when he changed his registration right after the Democrats in Congress voted to make it illegal to fund the Contras fighting communism in Nicaragua back in the 80's.

Yikes! I just looked up POX in the dictionary and the second definition was syphillis! That should be enough to scare the bashers!

.I've been going back and forth all day on how damaging this all is going to be.

I honestly believe this will not touch Bush and his administration, maybe wishful thinking on my part, or just an assurance that this will not hit the mark that the Dems desire.

I'm sure DEM Rep. Weiner remembers the time he allowed the Dems to make a fool of him standing in the rain trying to call Bush a lier on the White House Vandalism. He was all wet in more ways than one. These desperate democrats don't realize they are constructing their own demise. Please let it be so.

What touching pictures of the most wonderful President ever with the dear Nancy Reagan. She is starting to look fragile now, but still marvelous for a woman of her years.

I wish to state that I fully, totally, and happily support President Bush and trust his leadership, and his ability to protect and defend this country!

All of the RATS today should hang their heads in shame for their disgraceful behavior, and outright lies.

Their actions only futher illustrate how fortunate we are to have GW Bush as Commander in Chief!

While I know I don't have to say this to all of my dear fellow Bush/Babes I am saying it for the benefit of lurkers who obviously hang out here!

May God bless the President and Laura, and May God Bless America!

Not that I know of. ;) Called the doc, told her what was going on. She said to call her on Monday if the pain returned. It hasn't.
