Yes, indeed, God is still in control. That reminds me - prayers are needed again today for our President and his team's safety and skill in dealing with the war - which is still ongoing - against those who want us dead.

AMEN, Rose! God IS in control! Not the republicans, not the democrats, not even the conservatives, but GOD....He is our mainstay and our captain.

cuz = slang for because

In the future I'd encourage you to visit other threads rather than the Dose, eskimo. In fact, you might enjoy a another website. Obviously you're here to disrupt and it isn't appreciated. I've read your posts long enough to determine you're a Bush Basher and would have preferred Browne. You have not shown respect for others and certainly haven't shown a mature attitude. Please take your leave now.

Character doesn't matter to those who don't have it. They don't know what it is so why worry about it? What a bunch of dunces we have in government positions! What a bunch of dunces who voted them in!

Good for you GUIDO! I wish you luck on game day that this person listens to you and realizes the truth, which is not what the media tells her!

and humility comes from knowing WHO that higher power is and that we can do nothing apart from Him. What a relief, huh? It's not on OUR shoulders.

Gleeful little troll? Well thanks, maybe, but I don't lean that way.

A "Troll" is internet slang for someone who enters a forum or message board for the express purpose of causing disruption.

"Day in the Life" threads are the result of intensive research and labor on the part of individual members who gather and post select pictures of our president and the first lady going about their daily activities. The thread's intent is to provide a refreshing change from the harsh political news surrounding our president and in no way indicates blind hero-worship.

When you, as a detractor, enter such a benign thread in order to tell its participants that their admiration and enjoyment is inappropriate or naive, this behavior IS intentionally disruptive. Therefore, you are, by definition, a troll. The fact that you seem to delight in the controversy you inspire makes you a "gleeful troll"...I added the "little" just because I find trolls of small importance.

So, you'll either tire of the flame war game voluntarily or starve due to lack of attention. Be aware, however, that trollish behavior will eventually alienate even those who might otherwise be positively influenced by you.

If your genuine motive is to contribute to meaningful political discussion, please choose another thread. If your motive is merely to persistently annoy others, be aware that this attitude may eventually get you banned.

Thank you, that is sage advice indeed, but I was interested in analyzing the opposite type of political discussion as it relates to both the cause and consequence of the enormous deterioration of political debate pertinent to the preservation of freedom in America.

That's saying a mouthful, indeed...but these same individuals do pursue the "political debates pertinent to the preservation and freedom in America" on OTHER threads. The semi-adulatory tone of the "Day in the Life" threads does not indicate deterioration of debate, merely a respite from it. No "analysis" is warranted, since many of us often do find fault with various Bush policies, actions, and attitudes. We just don't air them here. Continued hectoring will only create hostility toward you and your viewpoint.

I wonder if the same "analysis" interests you in regards to the "opposite" discussions on anti-Bush websites? Surely judging everything through a filter of "I hate Bush" is as deliterious to political "discussion" as the pro-Bush "filter" you believe you see here?

Besides, injecting one's personal and/or opposing views into a discussion prevents objective analysis, since it effectively redirects the discussion toward yourself, not toward the issue. That's not discussion OR debate, just distraction and chaos.

Curious, what do you believe is responsible for the attitude of those who seem to think that public adulation is some how more beneficial than frank, public discussion of policies and actions?

Besides, injecting one's personal and/or opposing views into a discussion prevents objective analysis, ...

Very interesting, do you actually believe that presenting opposing viewpoints during political discussion or debate precludes any objective analysis of the product of that debate?

Those of us who enjoy discussing the admirable qualities of our president and his wife every day or so do not believe public adulation is "somehow more beneficial"...we just do our "frank, public discussions of policies and actions" on OTHER THREADS!!! This is the one thread where we just free ourselves to LIKE the two of them for the kind of people they are trying to be. Flawed, yet still in so many ways worthy of praise and honor.

Very interesting, do you actually believe that presenting opposing viewpoints during political discussion or debate precludes any objective analysis of the product of that debate?

Not necessarily, if you are participating in an actual "discussion or debate" thread...There are appropriate threads to present opposing viewpoints and to engage in lively discussion with these very same people. To continue to disrupt this thread and others like it for "debate and discussion of policies and actions" is to be "off topic"...and it demonstrates sloppy netiquette.

There may be a certain resemblance, but a clop in the chops might not be conducive to "meaningful discussion and debate". LOL!
