Why does no one ask where is dear ol' dad in this situation? It's a good question. But she's not targeting her daughter's father. She's going after the school.

That's not the point. The point is whether parents have the right to choose with whom their children will associate. One of the main reasons I homeschool is so my children will have positive peer influences. I would say that the school officials handled it very well, if they offered to help the mother and pay the daughter's last month's tuition.
