I heard Dick Gephardt with his "What did he know.......and when did he know it" routine.
Left from the dialog were his unspoken meaning "and how can we use this to our political advantage?"

Some more mud to throw against the wall. Bush has had more attacks against him for partisan reasons than Clinton had and Clintons wrong doings were real.

Great cartoon. So much for standing by a real Commander-in-Chief. To think that Gephardt had anything to say is contemptuous. He was one of Clinton's biggest supporters.

this has got to stop. george bush wasn't responsible for 9/11. islam perpetrated this horror and unless we get our act together it's going to happen again. this was a failure of the intelligence agencies which goes back decades. we need solutions now.

I have the perfect strategy - if I'm a terrorist. Because of all this hand-wringing, all I would need to do is plant some "seeds" about fictitious attack plans in numerous areas of the country. It wouldn't take too many locations. I would plant these seeds among Muslim nationals, those on the fringe. Then I would make sure the FBI and Tom Ridge's office finds out about these fictitious attacks - but not that they are fictitious.
Once the security forces have focused the bulk of their resources on running down all these false anticipated actions, and are distracted, trying to keep down the political fallout, then I would attack in a manner completely different from any of those false methods.
Then I would send thank you notes to Hillary, Daschle, and Gephart, expressing my appreciation for their help in furthering my terrorist cause.

Thanks for the ping. That cartoon is a great one, and true again. Only elected Democrats think there's a story here. Their constituents certainly don't seem to. (See the CNN poll
here. The results are interesting.)

Can someone point out in the warnings prior to Sept 11 that specified:
1) World Trade Center, Pentagon
2) Planes
3) Sept 11th attack date
Didn't think so.
We've got warnings out NOW. Can someone give me the place, date and method?
Nope, didn't think so.
Should we shut down all the airports, clear tall buildings, and install a curfew just in case there's an attack? I bet if Bush did this the DEMOCRATS would scream. They'd want to know the warning that was received. He can just tell them that it was very vague, but involved hijacking and airplanes. It would be very entertaining, huh?

Wow! That is amazing. A CNN poll that says the DIMocRATS
criticism of Bush IS purely political! 68% Say that......
Will wonders never cease? Thanks.

The day of reckoning has to come for the one(s) who started this. Our men and women are putting their lives on the line in aphganistan, while these treasonous politicians put our lives in further jeapardy over a memo. They can't even get it right whether it was a warning or analysis. God help us!

LOL! Thanks. Originally, that was an ENRON Scandal paint cartoon. Another FReeper saw my post,
changed it to read "911" and reposted it back to me. I thought this would a perfect place to post it!
To: Danette
LOL! Yep! The DIVISIVE DIMocRATS are going after Bush at every opportunity.
But so far all they've been able to do is shoot themselves in the foot and
embarrass themselves. I'm gonna enjoy watching the November election returns
consuming much popcorn and beer, LOL. It'll be a major massive DIMocRAT jawdrop
occasion.

I still can't understand how the administration could have known about the attacks when some of the terrorists themselves didn't learn about what they were doing until they were on the planes??

Speaking of Clinton. Does anyone know what happened to Al Gore? He had a lot to say about that photo of Bush a few days ago. I have not heard anything from him about this.

"The president knew what?" she asked. "My constituents would like to know the answer to that and many other questions not to blame to president, or any other American, but just to know."..Senator Hillary Clinton, D-NY.Precisely Mrs. Clinton! What did your husband know, when did he know it and what did he really do about it.
The weak responses of the Clinton Administration has been cited in a national publication as being one of the encouraging factors for bin Laden to think he could get away with attacking the WTC/Pentagon and get away with it.

"But political fallout over the question of what warning signs were available before the attacks continued, with Democrats, in particular, raising questions. "They had the intel, too. If they could answer just one of the five important questions who? what? how? when? or where?, I'll eat my hat. Without the answer to just one of those questions, what could have been done?
Since none of those questions had answers before 9/11, I'm not worried about having fedora au gratin for dinner.
Thanks for the ping, Ming!;o)

I don't think Gore will say anything probably because he plans on running in 2002.
