BTW, has anyone received any email viruses lately??? I have a theory about this and would like to know if any freepers have noticed any greater than usual number of viruses hitting their inbox. Thankfully, I have great virus protection so I haven't been infected.

I have great virus protection too, but in the past two weeks I've gotten three emails that contained viruses. One was handled, and two had to be quarantined.

What's your theory?

Your dtr's community is a stone's throw. I have had thoughts about the races, too. And I hope a few in our govenor's office and the FBI have as well. And I hope there are many eyes and ears out in the Plainfield community where the large Muslim population thrives...Screw osama....

Sitting here scanning the Dose and your mention of the Cheneys gave me pause for reflection. The personal sacrifices the Cheney family has made since 9/11 are great. Their lives have been turned upside down, possibly more so than anybody else's in the administration. I can't imagine what the constant shuffling around from location to location and separations have been like. Despite it all our VP and his wife remain loyal, steady and cheerful. I hope they are able to spend more time at the VP's residence these days.

Yes, I cleaned up two Trojans delivered courtesy of Outlook Express last week. This is with good virus protection. Can't swear it came in on my mail though as my teenage daughter is the queen of downloads.

Not I. I was hoping that someone among us (BushBabes and Bucks, that is) has a deep pocket and could fund the bulk of the dinner table for us all. Ya know, if someone funded $24,000 of the $25K needed, the rest of us could probably chip in and fund the remaining $1,000! Gosh, clinton gets all his rich friends to do stuff for him, why can't we? LOL!

Maybe I will win the lottery and then I can do it. Now I have another reason to purchase lottery tickets other than as part of my retirement plan! I think our lottery is up to about $7 million now. Hmmmm....almost time to buy.

Yes, we've been hit three times in the past two weeks. We were instructed by Norton to quarantine all of them, and three or more were sent for analysis. We had something called a "klez" virus, and also something with the word "carpet.scr" in it, I think. It is worrisome, and we haven't been able to figure out the source. What's your theory, rintense?

Good idea. I'm not sure what the Texas Lottery is up to, but I'll buy a ticket later today. Anything extra can be used to shore up my pitiful portfolio. Maybe when the President sees we are forced to gamble to attend his dinner he'll send us some free tickets.

Thanks for your thoughts on this Indy 500 concern. I mentioned it to my daughter, because I think her hubby will be going to the race. I didn't want to alarm her, but I do want them to be aware and very careful.

As I was sitting here a few minutes ago, I heard a very loud boom outside. Boy, the thoughts that ran through my mind that NEVER would have even entered my consciousness eight months ago...

I believe that someone from DU (or some really stupid, arrogant malcontent on FR.com) is purposely sending out the virus to freepers. It all started with this 'what did he know' revelation- and all of our Dem bashing. Others who have been posting lately, please beware that you may be sent a virus.
