So let's get some conservative and libertarian poets, musicians, novelists, painters etc., out there. (Of course there are some, especially in genre writing and country music, but that's just a few areas.) If the mainstream publishing houses won't publish them, we create our own.

All Modern "Liberalism"--Fabian Socialism--is premised on lies (see The Lies Of Socialism). Conservatives need to understand that and realize that they are in an intellectual war with people who generally do not have a conscience that makes them cavil at employing evil means to secure their desired end.

Most Conservatives have no problem recognizing this inherent deceptive streak in Communists and Nazis, but fail to understand that the same ethic, perhaps in softer tones, but the same ethic, governs the so-called "Liberal" establishment in the West.

"Left-Wing Scholars" may be an oxymoron to boot.

Speaking of the "chattering classes":
Talk -radio is dominated by conservative commentators such as Rush Limbaugh, Michael Reagan, Michael Savage, Mark Davis, plus dozens of other local folks. Where are the liberals?

Could it be that the vast majority of Americans are voting with the buttons on their radios?

FWIW, Hawaii wasn't a State until 1959. Not sure of its status priot to 1959. Protectorate? Regardless, the argument that it was only a "Posession" in 1941 may not be entirely unfounded.
