Muslim schools in U.S. legally allowed teach anti-Semitism
MYTH ``Muslim schools in the United States teach tolerance of Judaism and other faiths, and promote coexistence with Israel.'' FACT While it is well known that many Muslim schools in Arab and Islamic countries indoctrinate students with hatred of Jews and Israel, it was only recently revealed that similar teachings are prevalent in the United States. Islamic schools in Virginia, for example, have maps of the Middle East in their classrooms that are missing Israel. On one map, Israel was blackened out and replaced with ''Palestine.'' An 11th-grade textbook teaches that one sign of the Day of Judgment will be that Muslims will fight and kill Jews, who will hide behind trees that say, ''Oh Muslim, Oh servant of God, here is a Jew hiding behind me. come here and kill him'' (Washington Post, Feb. 25, 2002). The attacks are not only against Jews, but also Christians. Students are taught, for example that the Day of Judgment won't come until Christ returns, breaks the cross and converts everyone to Islam. The schools are legally allowed to teach whatever they want as long as they meet state requirements. Source: Myths & Facts Online -- A Guide to the Arab-Israeli Conflict, edited by Mitchell G. Bard. |

Only white Nazi groups are watched, if Christian Idendity is to be monitored, Muslims should also be ---and they are much more dangerous. How many of the Muslims schools were built in the US by the Saudi government?

This should not surprise anyone. Our own public schools teach anti-Americanism.

The government cannot tell religious schools what beliefs to inculcate but they can be surveilled if they teach violence.

This is the natural consequences of promoting "diversity" instead of assimilation among new immigrants.

"The attacks are not only against Jews, but also Christians. The Muslims seems to think they can keep Christ from coming back.. When we were in Israel a few years ago we were shown a muslim cemetery right outside the Eastern Gate to the old city and the gate was bricked up. This was put there by muslims because of the prophacy that Christ will walk through the eastern gate of the city, and so they closed the gate and also" a Jew would never walk in a muslim cemetery" so they put a cemetery in front of the gate. Trying to keep Jesus out. I found that amusing.. When Christ does come back, He will walk wherever he wants to.

This is news? Christian, other religious and even non-religions private schools in the U.S. are legally allowed to teach anti-Semitism as well -- they can also teach that homosexuals deserve death, that some races are "superior" to others and that looking at ones own genitals leads to eternal damnation. (note that I'm not claiming that any Christian/private school actually does teach such things, just that legally they can). Would some FReepers want to legally restrict what tenents certain religions are allowed to hold?

You make so much more sense in such a little sentence.
Violence
Terrorism
Anti semitism
should be looked at with their own merits, however it does require a sense and understanding to deal with each with what it stands for.
While all 3 bear different charachterstics those who exercise such should have a day with equal opportunity regardless of color, creed, origin, ethnic background, religion and all other aspects.
A white should bear no superiority over a colored person, and vice versa when it come to be scruitinized for any of the above teachings or actions.

Amen. Freedom of association should be absolute and freedom of speech must be safeguarded at all costs. I take no issue with what some Islamic school wishes to teach. Its probably no worse than the idiocy that comes out of the mouths of the professors at many universities.

Anyone who thinks Muslims are peaceful should volunteer to host their terrorists as their houseguests.
To: FITZ
Most of them. And most of the mosques, too.
To: Dimensio
Problem is, we look upon islam as a religion.
In actuality, it is a polical ideology, advocating world domination and a global state run upon the personal, sociological, theological and political tenets of islam.
We have not figured this out yet. It's like we allowed Marxist Leninists to run schools and indoctrination centers, summercamps and whatnot during the 50's. Of course, communism pales in comparison to islam in the danger it poses to all non-muslim states all around the world.

Anyone who thinks Muslims are peaceful should volunteer to host their terrorists as their houseguests. Are you kidding? Terrorists make the best renters... they're never around to ask for their deposit back.

Would some FReepers want to legally restrict what tenents certain religions are allowed to hold? No, but I don't want to have my tax money going to pay for it, either (i.e. vouchers.)
