By a margin of 2 to 1, Americans blame ex-president Clinton over President Bush for failing to stop last September's terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, a new Fox News/Opinion Dynamics survey reveals.
As hearings into 9-11's intelligence failures were getting underway last week on Capitol Hill, 900 registered voters were asked, "Who do you think deserves the most blame for the failure of the United States to prevent the September 11 terrorist attacks?"
The results were shared exclusively with NewsMax.com.
Just 6 percent answered President Bush. But twice that number, 12 percent, blamed his predecessor Bill Clinton.
Even the FBI, which has been the target two weeks worth of steady media criticism for bungling intelligence that some say could have prevented the attacks, got only slightly more blame than Clinton, with 13 percent naming the bureau as responsible.
Just nine percent cited the CIA.
Congress has so far managed to avoid almost any 9-11 fallout, with just 4 percent singling them out as responsible.
Most Americans, however, haven't gotten caught up in the media's 9-11 blame game. 29 percent told Fox News that a "Combination" of officials and organizations were responsible. 13 percent said "No one" was to blame. 11 percent weren't sure.
The Fox/Opinion Dynamics poll was taken June 4 and 5 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percent.

I have said before and I'll say it again. Outside of the slime that perpetrated the 9/11 attacks, no one on U.S. soil is more responsible for what occurred than Bill Clinton.
Good to see some Americans waking up.

9-11 victims should sue Clinton for criminal negligence.... although his treason was purposeful

Good point.
Shall we bring up the Bush-trasher ping list for fun?

A pretty worthless poll, in my opinion. Six versus twelve percent is almost meaningless; probably reflects the hard-core 'haters' on the left and right. Especially when you consider 90% of the population doesn't know what's going on in the world past their front door.
My opinion is that the 'toon is LARGELY to blame.

I respectfully disagree. Take just one aspect of his complicity. At almost the last possible moments of his eight-year watch, he tried to pull out a "quickie" Peace Price by building false expectations in the Middle East. It was rushed, it was doomed to failure and it was all about him. 9-11, in my mind, can be directly connected to this narcissistic, legacy-obsessed reprobate.

So what was his pretense for sending missles into Afghanistan and Sudan? I seem to recall public outcry over WTC1, the USS Cole, amoung others. His pretense was to cover his slimy ass when he went to the Grand Jury to answer questions dealing with Monica's official suckling duties.
Yeah there was some outcry, but most Americans are sleepy headed and overly soft with a very short memory. Heck even 911 hasn't woken us out of our stupor. We don't even approach Arabs that could be enemies in our own country for fear of hurting their feelings.
If we were dead asleep back then we're half sleepwalking now.

Throughout the 1990's I tried to make the point
( via letters, calls to talk radio, etc. )
that "America is sleepwalking into the next Century..."
Maybe we are finally waking up. I sure hope so.

The day of reckoning is coming soon for the impeached one. As time goes by, the real truth will be uncovered and it will reveal who was doing their job and who wasn't. The truth will prove to be Bill Clinton's worst nightmare as these investigations go forward, because what it will show is Bill Clinton put politics ahead of America's safety.
When the investigations are complete we will see just how badly Clinton ignored the threats we were facing and how little he did to do anything about them. Enemy #1 for Clinton was,(and still is) the TRUTH. When you are constantly running from the truth it's hard to do your job.

His pretense was to cover his slimy ass when he went to the Grand Jury to answer questions dealing with Monica's official suckling duties. I agree that was his reason, but his pretense was retaliation for terrorist attacks.

yup!
When you have a Major Enemy of the Nation and Freedom reigning in his CONVERTED White House, it will be years before his "time bombs" have all been either detonated or discovered and rendered impotent.
That billyblythe"clinton" and his puppetteer Shillery have been worse for this Nation than a war.
My contempt for them is boundless.

On Clinton's watch I called the Seattle FBI to report contact I had with Islamic Militants wanting to enter this country. The Seattle FBI never returned my call.

several articles and reprints of interviews with Mansoor Ijaz claiming that he negotiated with the Sudanese to turn over Osama to Clinton and Clinton and Company refused. Mr. Ijaz claims to have documented proof. Freerepublic has posted some or all of these articles, just type in Mr. Ijaz name in search to find them, also the following URL, tells about the man. <a HREF="http://www.saja.org/ijaz.html</a

Nah...good news though!
To: rintense
Imagine the numbers if the blame for 9-11 went all the way back to Carter and Regean... we all know this didn't happen over night.. Carter Regan Bush I Clinton and Bush II all had a duty to do.. all ignored it based on a variety of factors.. ranging from complete stupidity to lack of apporiate funds because congress was too wrapped up in either tax cuts or social welfare programs depending ont he party you want to blame.
