I just came from my parish to do a hand out before the 5 PM Mass, we (me and the my two children) handed out Father's Day St. Joseph "smelly trees" for the father's cars. I got to talk at length to my priest as we were there very early. He told me that he thinks we need to pull away from Rome as they are too "far away" from us and they have the gaul to try and tell us Americans that we cannot do the translation of the Litergy that will be used here in the USA. THIS IS SO SCARY! I told him I did not agree with him and that IMO, I think we should pull closer to Rome as the problems the AmChurch has, again IMO, sprung from dissention. I was stunned as I can now see how there can be a possible schism.
I have to say that he did introduce me to a wonderful woman and told me that I should talk to her as she agrees with how I think. So, the day turned into a blessing as I learned a few things from this woman and now I do not feel so isolated in my parish.
This woman told me that we are all to receive a sign from our Lord - at the same time - and it will show us our sins and show us how the Lord sees us. That will either drive people to church or away. She told me to look up a visionary named (female) Ameci who is Don Ameci's daughter - anyone else hear of this chastisement or the visionary?
She also told me that there is a call to have the Pope step down and be replaced and if that happens, the next Pope is the anti-Pope. Apparently, according to her, the movement is strong.
She was referring to the Apparitions of the BVM at Garabandal. The church has not yet taken a stance on these, however, as with other apparitions, there is a huge group of people who believe the messages.
My former neighbor underwent a major conversion, following a visit to Medjugorje. She later aligned herself with this group of believers. Her home looked like a shrine ... no, it looked more like a religious goods store. The neighbors kept their distance, except for me. Her conversion was so dramatic! Two years ago, she sold her home and moved to Emmitsburg, believing that this was where the BVM wanted her to go.
The Apparitions speak of - The Warning (when everyone around the world will suddenly see their souls. Many will not survive this experience; others will line up at confessionals). This will be followed by The Miracle - a permanent reminder. (one of the visionaries knows the date and will announce it one week before it takes place.) Next comes the Chastisement. You can learn more about this at:
ST. MICHAEL'S GARABANDAL CENTER at Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
We just happen to use the same buildings as the schismatics.
My bets are that things aren't that bad yet, but it's shocking that even such things are openly discussed.
To me the situation is simple. Regarding sexual immorality and or homosexuality associated in any form whatsoever with the priesthood,..excommunication and return to God, so He may return to them.
The money from parishoners is a moot point compared to the wrath of God. Simply, they Church needs to Return to Him, so He may return to them.
Meanwhile, Divine Discipline would be a blessing. If nothing is happening, then I'd consider it worse than the calm before the hurricane.
In fairness to leadership, they may be a significant number of false stories planted to remove the good priests as well as some of the bad. Obviously the Church is under attack, so remain strong in Him with the full armor of God.
This information or rumor has been making the rounds for years. Allegedly the last message of Fatima gave this message, but it was never released to the public. (I wonder whether that's reason this sick and infirm Pope is hanging so tough. He really loves and cares for the Church.) Father Malachy Martin, now deceased, wrote on the topic of anti-Pope, as does Kathleen Keating, a self-styled follower of Martin's. I heard her on Art Bell. The information (?) includes an alleged three days of darkness when you cannot go out, will hear wailings and calls of relatives on your doorstep but they're really noises made by demons. It gets pretty fantastic.
I think we just have to live our lives to the best of our ability and stay in touch with the Church. I'm about as fallen away as a former Catholic can get, but this homosexual, molester epidemic has me so furious, I almost want to go back to the Church and make things right again. I never hated the Church, just the priests, and only some of those. If I could find a church with a Latin mass, I'd probably reconnect.
I think the liberals in the Church are loving this scandal. They get to push women in the priesthood, married priests, telling the hierarchy how to run the Church, pretty soon it will be contraception and abortion.
In a meeting, I think it was last week, there was a guy from our Church ranting and raving about how WE run the Church and how WE need to tell the bishop and the pope what to do and blah, blah, blah.... I got pretty mad and started quoting scripture to him, told him that if that was the case we might as well just go and start our own church and pick our own beliefs.
Maybe we'll all have to join the SSPX and then they'll come in complete union with Rome again and we'll all be Catholics again:-}
I think that the suggestion is that the final pope (Peter the Omega) is to be the servant of the Antichrist, at least according to the millenium old prophecies of St. Malachy of Ireland as to the papacy. Actually there are two more popes named on his list. The next is the Glory of the Olive who is supposed to preside over a silver age of Catholicism. John Paul II is known on Malachy's list as Labor Solis: The work of the sun and his papacy was to be a very long and productive one. The list contains an ellipsis of uncertain meaning between Glory of the Olive and Peter the Omega which most likely indicates other unnamed popes between Gloria Olivae and Peter the Omega.
John XXIII was the Rose, which was the most prominent feature in his family coat of arms. Paul VI was the Mountain, which is simply an equivalent of his family name Montini. John Paul I was de Mediatate Lunae, of the half moon. Prior to his election, it was supposed that his most important work might be to forge good relations with Islam. It turned out to be a harbinger of his extremely short reign. I believe that TAN Books in Rockford, Illinois has St, Malachy's predictions still in print.
I've heard of it, but can't absolutely place it. What comes to mind is something Fr. Shire had said. But my memory is not good on this one.
