Whew. Thank God for the Second Amendment so normal folks can defend—wait, this is New York. Never mind.

So if you're being chased by a cop car, my advice would be to avoid getting pulled over at all costs. It could be terrorists.

"The owner of the shop became suspicious when the men tried to pay cash..."

Good for him!! When the Leftists chide Dubyuh for recommending folks keep their eyes and ears open, this can be used as an example of what he means.

This is scary. There are still way too many office buildings where you can drive right into a parking garage or loading dock. An emergency vehicle poses an even scarier scenario - blowing up in or beside an Independence Day parade.

Combine this with all the reports of stolen ID's, INS stamps, and uniforms and you have to start checking the uniformed ones for validity pretty soon. A blonde bosnian or euroam convert could wreck havoc with the proper fake papers, uniforms and demeanour.

My concern now is that these guys would try to steal one of these emergency vehicles. I hope the lots are well-locked and patrolled by dogs. (Maybe leave some fresh pork in the vehicles?)

Well, one thing that seems to be working in our favor is that these would-be terrorists,

aren't the sharpest pencils in the box,
are a few bricks shy of a full load,
their elevators don't quite go to the top floor.

Ah, well, somewhere in the Middle East there are villages missing their resident idiot.

My subway train skipped the 72nd Street station this morning because of a police investigation. We went whizzing through a totally empty express station that is usually teeming with people. Ghostly . . . I looked around the car to make sure all the windows were shut.

This is a tactic borrowed from the anti-Israel campaign. Don't be surprised if they do not borrow a few others.

IMO, how these will be used (if indeed it does happen) is as a follow-up bombing...picture this, a bomb is set off someplace (i.e. a regular truck bomb), the fbi, atf, police, fire respond etc.

While all those safety/law enforcement people are scrambling to perform their duties, thats when the second dummy ambulance/fire-engine rolls in and blows up...while everyones guard is down and they expect to see emergency vehicles racing to the scene..

Just a thought.

This is a tactic used by the Palestinians.

Among the sites officials fear could be targeted are City Hall, FBI offices, police department headquarters and even fire department facilities.

Hospitals.

This scenario has been floating around in open sources since 9/12/01.

It's great to see that The Government Experts and The Authorities finally are getting wind of a possible scenario that should be obvious to even the most doddering movie-goer or member of a "thriller" book club.

But, then, none of the aforementioned oracles and geniuses were able to envision and anticipate the deployment of the most devastating WMD accessible to bearded goblins, despite the fact that -- at least the last time I noticed -- such flies directly over or near Manhattan or Washington, D.C. enroute to landings at one of at least three major airports many times during every day of the week.

Go figure....

Here's another thread on the subject: Attempt To Buy Ambulance Spurs Fear
Apparently, the company named Movie Time Cars, Inc., only rents vehicles. So the attempt to purchase an ambulance stood out to them.

The owner of the shop became suspicious when the men tried to pay cash, and the pair fled without leaving any identification, the source told the News.

Sheesh, are people really that dumb?? If he was suspicious if they wanted to pay cash, he should have said FINE, but I need to prep the car and you can pick it up in the morning. In the meantime, contact the FBI and have them there to greet the new car buyers.

Where is the Whore of Babble-On in all of this? She said she was going to make national security her top priority (after her own self-interest, of course). What did she know and when did she know it?

So a few days, week(s), ago an Al Queda leader says, "god willing, the next attack will come from a place least expected."....

Who would think to challenge an emergency vehicle - on the fourth of July?

I think I hear some mind juices flowing, and some lobes blinking...

Good for the shop owner, for being on the ball like that. Shame he didn't have a gun, or a tazer, or a can of Mace...such is life in Leftopia.

The thing is, this is just one more direction for us to run in (or away from) on top of subways, apartments, scuba divers, crop-dusters, shipping containers. What did I leave out?

Terrorism comes in many forms, some we don't even realize until we are in the middle of it. Death by a thousand cuts. You don't have to blow up an ambulance to cause disruption, fear, concern. Just say you might do it and sit back and see what happens.
