May the door hit everyone in your family on the way out!
PS, I think all your movies sucked

You ever notice how these "stars" always wait until they are abroad to recite this anti-American pap?
If they feel so strongly they should say it while they're actually in America. Or are they too scared? I say Bring It On -- You Hollywood Creeps!

"I think the U.S. is terrifying and it saddens me," he told the British paper the Daily Express. "You only have to look at the state of affairs in America." I knew there was a reason I decided NOT to see Tom Cruise's new movie. No more money for Tom Cruise out of my pocket! Screw you, Mr. Cruise (like that's even your real name).

No, I didn't miss the point of the critique. I simply used it as an opportunity to point out the truth. Here is TRUTH:
We, the American people have had our liberty stolen from us because we have been dumb, fat, and happy. We got lazy and forgot that we have a responsibility to keep government in check. Also, we became arrogant and thought we did not need God.
That is MY point and MY critique.

Not discussed anywhere on this thread, but if you think his comments were bad against America, you should hear what he had to say about the current president of the United States. Vicious stuff, freepers.

I'm not terrified of our citizens, but the destruction of the Bill of Rights that has taken place over the past 70+ years, and is now escalating, does worry me greatly. Destruction? While there's undoubtedly an ongoing battle with the left over our Constitutional freedoms, there's no way the BoR has been "destroyed". That type of hyperbole makes it hard to take you seriously.
"He said he could no longer keep his 'eyes wide shut' to America's terrorism threat, crime, faltering financial status and corporate corruption." All of these problems are facts, so where is Mr. Cruise wrong here?
If terrorism scares you so much, why don't you find a safer country. There aren't very many. And NONE have the freedoms we do. Crime has been falling steadily for years, and I, for one, feel very safe from crime, especially since I still have the right to arm myself; I have no idea how our financial status is falling and against whom; and it seems to me that we now have people in power who are willing to go after the corruption in Corporate america, and I don't believe for a moment every corporation is corrupt.
I believe again Mr. Cruise hits the mark; with millions of aborted babies dead, how can a nation say that it values human life?
Speak for yourself. Given the fact that most people are against unrestriced abortion, and only a well-entrenched judiciary and legislature keeps it going, your statement doesn't apply to "the nation".
When the people of a nation allow themselves to be disarmed, how can it be said they are a responsible people, as they trade liberty for "safety"?
Huh? Considering more and more states are passing concealed carry laws, that assertion is ridiculous.
When people shrink away from personal resposibility in favor of the "shared societal" responsibility, how can we say we are a strong people?
Your ability to generalize is breathtaking.
But then again, you may be right. After all, with a nation full of pathetic whiners like you, maybe we are doomed.
And I notice that you have same annoying trait that other complainers around here have. You whine about the government not protecting you enough against crime and terrorism, but then you turn around and complain about lost freedoms. Which is it?

Re: Cruise: I don't get it. Nowhere does he say he doesn't like America or is moving or would rather his children be brought up elsewhere. Is there more to the article. The comments all suggest he was pulling a Robert Altman or Alec Baldwin...I don't see eihter. His concerns are something FR reports on every day. No big Cruise fan but I don't think this pile on is deserved in this particular case.

He helped create that which he has grown to hate! Yes, he was part of it.

We know that the litmus test for any one to be big, or expect to be big in Hollywood: MUST BE A BLEEDING HEART LIBERAL! Some of the pretty faces choose to shut the @@@ up, and the rest of us never know where they stand. The rest are typically active in pushing the leftist agenda in order to impress the studio gods, which in returns get them more work. Bo Derek never gets any work. The term "you will never work in this town again" was coined no where else but Hollywood!

You got that right. I guess he is not privy to the crime statistics in Australia. I just read something this morning that since the gun ban in Australia crime has sky rocketed. What till the bad guys figure out where he's living!!!!!!!!!!!

Anybody have a web address for this loser? Fan club, anything-- He needs a Freeping.

Naaa, I like my story better. Ol' Tom is a buttpirate and was more turned on by his own image than Nichole. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

I paid $3.75 to see the first showing of the day with a friend. I liked the special effects, but the experience wasn't particularly memorable. You haven't missed anything. He's probably having a hissy fit because "Lilo and Stitch" did better than "Minority Report" (attendance-wise) that first weekend. I wouldn't spit on Tom Cruise if he were on fire.
