No thanks! You are too rude for words.

What the heck does pristine mean? As far as I can tell, it means the people can't go there. Ecology is dynamic and always changing, and attempts to keep things static are contrary to natural history which evolves enviornments such as swamps over time.

When I see how nasty enviornmentalists have become, it makes me sad. I well remember how nice the first Earth Day was. Many people learned about ecology and respect for all forms of life.

However, this does not extend to other people, as the nastiness on this thread shows. Did someone revise the constitution to read "Of the people, by the people and for the birds?"

I have a right to challenge policies that are costly--$8 billion for Everglades, I think. Also I have a right to challenge thinking that I find wrongheaded. I think politicians are pushing us to a crisis mentality by saying water is scarce on a planet that is mostly water. I think that we should head them off at the pass on this one and insist that communities who need more water begin to solve, not exploit their problem.

As for "insulters", ad hominem attacks are logical fallacies and bad manners. Would you like to compare intellectual credentials?

After the way you and AAABest talked to me I thought that rudeness was the only acceptable way to speak to another over the interent. Rudeness it now seems is a way of life if you disagree with another person's views.

If I hurt your feelings I am truly sorry, it wasn't my intent. I'll answer in kind though, when spoken to. I still want the Everglades restored.
