First We Replace Lott!!!

With control of the senate, it is time to replace the leadership of our party with someone that has a spine. Trent Lott has NO cajones and does not know how to wield the power we now enjoy...enough "power sharing".

Little Tommy needs to be moved to the back of the classroom, as does Hillary.

BTW, don't you love the fact that Hillary's vote wont mean sHi* anymore?

Think of the Illinois results as an enema. The Republicans held the governor position for 26 years (remember Dan Walker, the guy who walked across the state in '72 ?)

Within 18 months, the slime and corruption that comes along with Gov Rod will make us remember WHY there hasn't been a dem as gov for 26 years, and by '06 the Republicans will have good candidates rising to the top again, after they clear the underbrush of the existing power group.

Don Nickels or Jim Inhofe are good choices.

Frist apparently was "Mr. Inside" to Lott's "Mr. Outside." Frist totally "strategerized" the Senate campaigns, and deserves much of the credit. I don't see him as challenging Lott.

That's why I put it in quotes. People have short memories, the punchline always is "what have you done for me lately" and the most recent thing that happened in Lott's corner of the Senate is that it went from minority to majority against ALL historical precidents and most predictions.

I don't disagree that we we meed a new majority leader, but we can't have one, not yet. It's not smart politics. We made gains yesterday by playing smart politics, now is not the time to start playing dumb politics.

I don't know, but if he was elected Majority Leader, and couldn't make a vote one day, Steve Forbes could be smuggled in to cast it for him.

would they take the positions? (mcconnell and nickles that is)..

i agree that lot as got to step back for a while.. could be a good way for the republicans to show that they can police their own but yet dont abandon them

this could be an opportunity to consequences as well as forgiveness

if not mcconnell or nickles.. who else??? hatch?

I don't know, now...he shot himself in the foot and will look weak (or should I say weaker) if he steps back now.

Wish this issue had been addressed prior to his current public crucifixition.
