There are many who don't want to hear the truth as well as those who don't want to publicize the truth. Well said. I hope Monsignor Clark does not wield to pressure and back down from the statements he made in his homily.

I hope Monsignor Clark does not wield to pressure and back down from the statements he made in his homily. Well, I was just reading a recently posted thread (GAY-BASH HOMILY DIDN'T HAVE EGAN BLESSING) and he is still holding his ground. It is all the more reason we need to send him our support.

Thank you for the flag and for the links to the articles. Can you direct me to a transcript of Msgr. Clark's homily so that I can read what he said in context? Thanks again.

"The Church, ministers and all, needs to stand and be counted and heard and heard and heard. Give no heed to the complaints of offense by the wicked. Be like Stephen, who was Christ like, and spoke the truth until the wicked stoned him to death. He refused to be censured by the objections and protests of the wicked. Speak against baby shredding, speak the Bible truth against morally reprobate homosexuals and speak against child/adult sex, until they give it up or stone you to death."-- Freeper Lester Moore

Unfortunately, I don't know of a transcript of the homily, online or offline. frogandtoad attended the Sunday Mass (he's a local parishioner of St. Pat's) and I have asked him to see if he can get hold of a transcript. I agree that it would be helpful to read what he actually said and not the liberal media's spin of what he said.

Thanks so much for this!
I have one question: is there any special way to address a monsignor (like "Your Excellency" for a bishop)? Thanks !!!

From the Pope's Address to the U.S. Cardinals,
"People need to know that there is no place in the priesthood and religious life for those who would harm the young. They must know that Bishops and priests are totally committed to the fullness of Catholic truth on matters of sexual morality, a truth as essential to the renewal of the priesthood and the episcopate as it is to the renewal of marriage and family life."
Thank you for the ping.
Good Monsignor deserves a letter of support, especially now when the sodomite lobbies are likely to attack him.

I have one question: is there any special way to address a monsignor (like "Your Excellency" for a bishop)? That's a good question. I don't know the answer, but from this thread Romulus posted the following information:
According to my 1969 edition of the Catholic Almanac (Askel wondered once why I'd kept it all these years), forms of address are as follows:Cardinals: His Eminence (Christian Name), Cardinal (Surname).; (if he is an archbishop or bishop, include the Title of his see.); Your Eminence; Asking the blessing of Your Eminence, I am, Yours respectfully, (Name).
Archbishops and Bishops: The Most Rev. (Name); Arch(bishop) of (Title of his see.); Your Exellency; Asking the Your Exellency's blessing, I am, Yours respectfully, (Name).
Romulus, does your almanac say anything about forms of address for Monsignors?
