All of the hostages are dead. Hamas is playing with an empty hand. They can only bluff to stay in the game.

“hostage deal between Israel and Hamas after the terror group balked”

Why?

The hostages are almost all dead.

They have nothing to make a deal with.

I wonder what he’s really traveling for? It certainly has nothing to do with hostages. I bet he’s doing something related to Ukraine.

Israel should take the deal. Show the world the truth about Hamas (again). Then when they get back about FFL few or none at all, drop the hammer on everything and finish it all in shock and awe.

He is trying to save Hamas and Iran’s face… as well as saving Russia’s face behind it all.

Is all kabuki theater.

Why would they send a CIA guy rather than a State Dept guy?

The CIA has its fingers in everything.

so Blinken finally sidelined - Bibi has effectively cut him off at the knees along with JObama. they see the Obama Columbia Said Khalidi connection and lack of rejection of the Dem PaliHamas wing. for Israel it is all about wiping out the last bastion of terrorism next door. and the Arab street has remained quite quiet as if in tacit agreement.

What a different world it would be if the politicians and public officials were
First in line to be drafted and fight on the front lines.

“Why would they send a CIA guy rather than a State Dept guy?”

I worked with a couple of guys who had retired from State. Admittedly, they were probably low level, although they vetted reports and prepared paperwork for the Ambassadors they worked under in various embassies. They were flaming gays and had zero understanding about cultures, Islam, etc. They had a rose-tinted vision when talking about Communism, diversity and current events. (Diversity wasn’t a word when they were in, but the essence of it permeated their speech. All those naked little brown people lived such idyllic lives. These guys were doubtless hippies in suits.)

My point is the people at the bottom of a hierarchy are generally representative of what’s at the top. People all the way down the pyramid hire those they can identify with. Periodically, a new president puts in a very temporary director who mostly has no influence on what sort of idiots get hired. So as bad as the CIA is likely to be, the people in it probably have a better picture of whatever they’re dealing with.

Yes, and every time he and the others in the Obiden cabal get on a plane, I am comforted by the thought that it just might crash and we’ll be rid of them and their corrupt evil.

Hamas just couldn’t help themselves and murdered all the hostages. Thus, they have nothing to bargain with. They were counting on them being able to squeal and whine enough in the West to put pressure on Israel not to bring the hammer fully down on them. They guessed wrong.

I doubt it.
By allowing both them to wet their beaks, it keeps a leash them because they are compromised.
I think what you're seeing is one of the parties really running the US. But because their figureheads really messed things up, the string pullers have to get involved to keep things from getting out of control.

All that mucking around offshore and domestically is "fouling the nest" (if things get too hot at "home", where are they going to go?).

“After Hamas balked at Israel continuing the war”... man, that contorted language speaks volumes about how the arrogant leftist filth in our government view their role, and Hamas’s role, and Israel’s role.

SMOKE ‘EM, BIBI!!! TURN GAZA INTO FLY ASH.

I like your JObama better than my OBiden.

Hope you don’t mind if I “borrow” it now and then?
