Bush is not a RINO
I guess I got confused with all his spending, letting liberals write his bills while they stab him in the back, not supporting conservatives while they stab him in the back, resurrecting Bill Clinton's career, not protecting our borders, slandering those who protect our borders, passing an unconstitutional campaign finance reform, promising to pass the assault weapons ban, I can go on but I'd need more time.
Bush is great on foreign policy, but he's a disaster domestically. He's understands tax cuts and marriage, but that seems to be about it.

Delay must be protected but he cannot shoot his mouth off about impeaching judges when there is no cause. Why do you, of all people, want to protect Tom DeLay? You're like a case study.
I would submit that you, and the faction of 'Republicans' you represent, would do so because he is powerful. But if he were weak, you would join the rest of the piranhas in the feeding.
God bless Tom DeLay. At least his first impulse is to protect the weak, not to destroy them or callously stand aside while others with power do so.
If we could say the same for the liberal Republicans, Terri Schiavo would still be alive.

Well, I see the WPPFF crowd is back and wishing to tell us all why Terri needed to be starved to death. They think Delay has thrown them a bone, they will soon be disappointed. They sound like the crowd over at DU concerning Delay's "so-called" apology.
This link was not posted because it is newsworthy, it was posted because they want to rub salt in the wound.

Now grow upDo us all a favor and heed your own admonition. I don't think you have any idea how foolish you sound, ranting and raving away and then adding disclaimers like "I'm sane" when you sound anything but.
Your juvenile rhetoric and shallow thinking have become the norm on FR. Just because you're temporarily in the majority does not make you right. And accusing good people of bad things is never right.

You know those kind of insults won't work.
My point is valid for all to see. And I can't say that these are good people that I maybe accusing of bad things.

This from the person who arrived on the scene uttering the word "Nazi"?
LOL

Facts do matter and I thank you for your posts.
To: cyncooper
I didn't bring it up. I was responding to one who is accusing the "let Terri live" of yelling Nazi.
Apparently you didn't read or understand much. I asked why these guys get upset at being called a Nazi when they advocate Nazi beliefs, practices and policies. That's not calling someone a Nazi.
No one ever gave me an answer to that question. They just attacked, as do you.
Ooops #238 had an answer and it seems valid.
What now are your orders on attack from the rest of the WPPFF?

RECYCLE...
Making laws is the duty of the Congress. They are the only ones who have to consider foreign opinion. They of course are answerable to THE PEOPLE so if THE PEOPLE want to follow a foreign lead then so will Congress. For judges to interpret laws any way other than as they are written by representatives of THE PEOPLE is UNCONSTITUTIONAL. If judges don't follow the Constitution THE PEOPLE have recourse through the Congress to remove them via the impeachment process. Correct me if I am wrong... I think this is 9th grade Civics.
The problem is that these judges are "making" laws that 40% of THE PEOPLE and most of the press agree with, and, since this 40% can't assert their will any other way, they support, and will continue to support, the Kritocracy now in place. Which is, in a nut shell, why the Democrats in the Senate are opposing Bush nominees on an ideological rather than a qualification (experience and morals) basis.

What nonsense. I posted this thread and am reading the replies on it.
Who is giving you your talking points?
To: cyncooper
the very odd DERTH of offers on Free Republic, among the WPPFF leaders and members, of prayers for Terri's family [or friends] on her passingI'll assume the poster meant "dearth." In any event, it's curious that one would think that just because a "prayer" isn't trumpeted loudly on a website, it hasn't actually been expressed to God. Or does God only receive and answer prayers via the internet these days?
To: Freedom Dignity n Honor
What now are your orders on attack from the rest of the WPPFF? They're still a little disorganized. That'll clear up when they get that order of brown shirts and red armbands in...

Individuals and their families pay, charities pay, friends pay. It isn't a perfect system but at least it doesn't subvert freedom and finally turn people into cannibals. Socialism always starts out promising everyone better, for example free health care for everyone, and ends up destroying people for the "good" of society. There are books about the evils of socialism that explain it better than I could. Try capitalism.org or capmag.com for a start, or Google "von Mises, Hayek."
As for "families able to pay for it out of pocket...few and far between," all my grandparents died at home (my home) and we were not rich. I believe the families financially unable to care for a dying person are few and far between.
