Isn't it weird how none of the WPPFF crowd will answer whether they were 100% sure that Terri wanted to starve to death? I wonder why not? Maybe they are not 100% sure? Interesting.....very interesting.

lugsoul, calling someone "worse than Nazi's" is about as bad as it gets. It doesn't get any worse than being called a Nazi. You do realize that, don't you?

Oh, I know. EV got mad because I used it, went running to the mods, got me put in the corner for a while, whining "personal attacks."
The New Rules. Saying someone is not telling the truth is a "personal attack." Saying someone is "worse than Nazis" is not.
I'll probably get dinged again for asking the questions of the mod that I asked. Strange - every single time I've asked a mod to even state the basis for their actions, I've gotten no reply.
Maybe we need to get Tom DeLay looking into those horn-helmeted tyrants.

Oh, I realize that. I was just wondering whether TPTB realize that.
I believe they do, and don't care, as long as the person saying it is on the same side of the issue as TPTB.

LOL.
I don't know what the rules are either. But I can tell they are new and different from the day I signed up here and you laid out a perfect example of how, shall we say "unusual" those new rules seem to be.

No, I'm not sure she wanted to be starved to death. No one really specifies how they want their life ended should that day come.
Are you sure she didn't want to be starved to death?
It was a dumb question to ask, yellow-dog.

If I haven't answered it, it is because I haven't been asked.
I'm not 100% sure. Neither are you. Neither of us has heard the sworn testimony of those who spoke to the issue, tested in the crucible of cross-examination.
But only one of us is willing to substitute their opinion of that evidence for the opinion of those who DID hear it.

You just made my point. No, I am not for sure of Terri's wishes, therefore, we should err on the side of life.
If you think that is a dumb question to ask, maybe FR is not the place for you. Life is worthy of asking that question.

Are you 100% sure Terri wanted to live in a vegetative state and be continually force fed by the State for ever?
I am 100% sure that those who were charged with making that determination had clear and convincing evidence that she did not.

If you are not 100% sure, err on the side of life. Letting people starve to death on heresay if not okay with me. Especially when that heresay was when someone was 20 or so years old.

I don't remember your post as it disappeared quickly, but your name calling was not called for.You have NO IDEA what went on!
The little female (EM) called me a "stalker" for merely asking a question of another poster.
She (EM) was exclusively and completely WRONG................ as far as I'm concerned!
Her comment to me was very far out of hand, and I am disgusted with her and you, yes you, jumping to her defense when she was wrong as can be!
You are a better person than this (EM) as far as I had known.
I must say, I thought Free Republic was much more than a college or high school sororiety. With you three or four girls it is not.............. you hang together and play the fools, no matter when and if there is a theatre in which you can play or not.
Your sticky little relationship ....... honestly is painful and destructive to honest posters.
FR deserves better from you!

FR used to be a place where events were actually researched. Now we're just a dumping ground for every conspiracy theory to come along. Signal to noise here has an ebb and flow. I'm sure the helpful and cooperative aspects of the general tenor could be better.
Used to be all sorts of wild conspiracy stuff here. Remember Rivero?

I don't remember Rivero, although I keep hearing his name. I must have been smarter back then and just avoided threads that looked like so much conspiracy theory. LOL

Wrong, yellow dog. Maybe FR is not the place for YOU, since you have no respect for people who don't share your opinion.
Your dumb question suggested only what method she would have preferred to end her life, but NOT if she would have chosen to live in a PVS.
It in no way validates your point of erring on the side of life.
I'm staying....you go..sw

Ignore them. They are a small group and the majority of FR agrees with you. FR is a great place, go read the mission statement.
