Ann Coulter weighs in on Darwinism
uncommondescent.com ^ | William Dembski

Posted on 04/27/2006 8:01:57 AM PDT by Tribune7

I’m happy to report that I was in constant correspondence with Ann regarding her chapters on Darwinism — indeed, I take all responsibility for any errors in those chapters. :-)

I push back to you to prove God didn't create life using my creationist rules.

Nobody can prove that.

And that is why creationism isn't science. Do you get it?

All because I ask questions like, if man evolved from apes why are the still apes...

If you ask questions like that you should expect some ridicule. If you descended from Europeans (or whatever) why are there still Europeans?

Hey mlc9852, do you agree with Casey Luskin's classification of apes vs. humans that you linked to in #222?

Explain how you derrived this conclusion. It sounds to me like you have a morbid obsession with sex.

The short answer is that evolution does not involve mating between species. No offspring is ever of a different species.

"Who has denied the existence of God?"

Previously...Several evo posters on this website.

And, it was an outright denial of existence...not a debate relative to taking Genesis literally.

Some of these posters have even stated that they do not believe that we have God-given rights (as in endowed by our Creator...), which according to Jim Robinson's recent post is a conservative must.

Sometimes God's existence isn't just denied...it is mocked (FSM references, and so forth).

Given where we started (Ann Coulter/Bill Dembski's 'thoughts' on evolution, I don't think you can argue the thread's gone downhill.

Just joking around and it was aimed at this comment you made

But when you start at the bottom, every direction should be up. We seem to have found a wormhole.

"Do you have to be a Christian to be a conservative?"

Ann Coulter certainly thinks so. I was watching her on CSPAN one night speak to this, that being a conservative is based on Christianity. I completely disagree with her on this ( and many other things ). Does a person who wants lower taxes and less government get excluded from conservative club just because they have a secular outlook? Comments like this might help her sell books to vast number of "social conservatives" but it alienates anyone else.

So Mamzelle, in post 300 where do you draw the obvious, insurmountable line between "just an old ape" vs. "just an old human"?

Angry are we not?

Yoda, is that you?

I never said "evo is junk science".

I never said you did.

Having looked all those people you said were, what was it, stupid or ignorant, can not remember

I am in awe of your ability to focus your razor-sharp mind on a discussion and not lose track of it over the course of an hour or so.

but I read all their bios and they are all in the scientific field.

ROFL!! Look again. Even if they were, however, so what? You have failed to address what I actually said about them.

Yet, they disagree with you, huh ... goes back to my original statement, anyone who disagrees with you is stupid, ignorant, an idiot or whatever word you use on any given post.

You're really stuck on this false accusation, aren't you? Look, I explained why exactly I point out that certain anti-evolutionists are ignorant of the field they attempt to critique. Hint: It had something to do with the fact that they didn't know much about it, and keep making the most elementary mistakes about it, the kind that a first-year student wouldn't even have made.

Just how poor is your reading comprehension?

You see I am very confident in what I believe, you can agree with me or not, no skin off my nose, the chose is yours.

Yes, your arrogance in your unsupported and unsupportable (and false) presumptions about me are quite clear, and "the chose [sic]" I make is to conclude that you're unable to have your prejudices swayed by any of those pesky "facts" or anything I might actually write. You came into this thread with your mind already made up, your mental fictions about "evolutionists" already set in stone, and the fact that you keep saying things in direct contradiction to what I've actually written shows that you're going to run with your wild guesses about me while not bothering to pay any attention to what I really say, or who I really am.

You on the other hand are trying way to hard to convince me you are right,

Ah, yes, the old "if you're confident in your conclusions and attempt to explain them, you're 'trying way to hard'" ploy, used as a laughable and obviously fallacious attempt to discredit something by pointing out something ludicrously irrelevant.

usually done by people who are not that sure in what they are espousing.

Yes, right, being really confident of something proves my lack of confidence in it! ROFL!!!

Come back when you know how to have a rational discussion, and are willing to deal with what I actually write instead of what you wish to pretend I'd written.
