Lincoln’s War
Tenth Amendment Center ^ | May 04, 2009 | Judge Andrew P. Napolitano

One of the greatest misconceptions of American history is that the Civil War was fought over slavery. Those who subscribe to this belief see President Abraham Lincoln as the benevolent leader who made unimaginable sacrifices in human blood to wipe out America’s greatest sin. While the human sacrifice is indisputable and the sin was monumental, the war’s purpose was not to free blacks from the shackles of bondage. Rather, the Civil War was fought with one purpose in mind: To preserve the Union at all costs. And, to put it in Lincoln’s terms, with no ifs, ands, or buts. You’d better agree with the president, or else.

Not to defend the “pointy heads” but it seems funny, the anti crowd doesn’t seem to be holding up a US Flag(s) in the picture. There is a yellow flag with a stripe on it. Curious. Over analyzing here....

Actually, the drive to go from tolerance, my personal position, to acceptance of Homosexuality, the official statist Federal position, is even more evidence that “we need to go”, (like we need anymore). Instead of attacking the Federalist, just put it in the column labeled “More Reasons to secede from this abysmal Union” and go on.

Not to defend the "pointy heads" but why the U.S. flag?

There is a yellow flag with a stripe on it. Curious. Over analyzing here....

The only analysis necessary is that they don't seem to be made up of God's brightest creatures, do they?

True story. When my daughter was about 6 she had a birthday party sleepover. As kids do, they tried to freak each other out and one of the girls entertained the rest with scary stories of "the coneheads". The next morning when they told me about it I was a little puzzled because I assumed they were talking about that Dan Akroyd movie, a take-off of his Saturday Night Live skits which didn't strike me as particularly scary. But the girl in question set me straight when she told me she was talking about the KKK. She had lived in Mississippi not far from some local chapter and had apparently seen the group in full regalia from time to time and it had scared the daylights out of her. So when it came time for scary stories, she knew just what to pick.

You have any idea what it's like intercepting parents as they come to pick their kids up and tell them that if their daughter mentions anything about the Klan then it's because of Kelly's ghost stories and not because I was trying to recruit her?

Yeah right. God forbid that you lived somewhere that tolerated anyone not just like you. Well begone and be damned, that's my motto.

The yellow flag seems to be in the group of counter-demonstrators. No idea what it means.

There are so few KKKers now each one has their own personal FBI case officer assigned to them. They are a tiny mentally ill pack of losers. I would say ACORN is more of a threat then the pointy headed clowns in silk robes. What if the KKK held a rally and nobody came? BIg woop.

Not a chance. Stars and Bars and that Southern heritage thing are very much the cowboy way.

The Kluxers ain't about Southern heritage, asshat.

They are about something that is much more familiar to yankees: racism.

Well duh! Any president running on a platform of ending the expansion of slavery would not be popular in at least 11 Southern states.

39%. That is statistical proof that he wasn't this overwhelmingly popular 'saviour' that you revisionist yankees have portrayed him to be.

From post #220: cowboyway - "The 1980 election was as much about getting rid of Carter as the 2000 election was of purging the Clinton's. The 1984 election was a true mandate. "

From post #294: Non-Sequitur - "But according to you the '84 election was a real squeaker. "

From post #296: cowboyway - "I said that the the 1980 election was close and that the 1984 election represented an actual popular vote mandate. Once again you are caught telling a lie."

From post #305: Non-Sequitur - "Not by you. Not to date. "

Like I said, caught in ANOTHER LIE! Admit it or STFU.

Of course, we all know that you can no more admit to your lies and deceit than you could shut up. You've been caught in numerous lies over the years but you're simply not man enough to admit. Most of the time you just tuck tail and run. But, that is the yankee way.................

I believe you are a man of integrity and of honor. Unfortunately, some of your compatriots do not hold themselves to your same standard.

How can someone who lies with virtually every other breath know anything about integrity or honor?

You are a well known liar and should refrain from using such words as 'integrity and honor', Mr. Liar.

Why is it that the higher one gets in the Klan the gayer their robes become?

Why don't YOU tell US. After all, they're probably yours or NS's family members................

Non-Sequitur is officially a Kluxer with fresh photo's taking from his basement,of course!

In order for me to be in one of those pictures I'd have to be 80 years old or something. Those one's I provided, the ones with your confederate flag so prominently displayed, are far more recent. I think it's nice when a group of people return to their heritage, don't you?

We must like in Lincoln's case, get to the root of the problem...He wishes to dress up and act a fool BUT history tells a different tell..SO Mr. Federally If y'all want to be a fool...Do it with the proper Flag!!!!!!

If I were to do that I'd have to do it with your Dixie Do-rag...

Photobucket

...and I'd hardly be inclined to do that now would I?

There is a difference between tolerence and acceptance...

And as the members of the Southron Clown Posse have shown, there will be no tolerance and damned little acceptance in your new confederate fatherland for anyone not fitting the rebel mold they've imagined.

Well boys: We have the high ground.

Geographically speaking perhaps, though that didn't help you around Chattanooga in 1863. But when it comes to the moral high ground, you're buddies abandoned that long ago.

The Kluxers ain't about Southern heritage, asshat.

Sure it is. Hatred is very much a part of the heritage you and Rustabout and Idabilly hold dear. Hatred to Yankees. Hatred to homosexuals. Hatred to Muslims. Hatred to anyone and everyone who doesn't look and think and act exactly like you. Hatred is what keeps you warm at night. Hatred is the part of your heritage you cling to the most. And you wouldn't have it any other way.

They are about something that is much more familiar to yankees: racism.

ROTFLMAO!!!!!!! Denial sure ain't no river in Egypt so far as you're concerned, is it?

Well of course you would, because that's your way of directing attention away from the South's dirty little history and towards some other geographic region.

What if the KKK held a rally and nobody came?

Judging from news reports, every time they hold a rally the counter-demonstrators outnumber the Klan members by a considerable margin.

The real question is, why don't the counter-demonstrators have any confederate flags flying? If the modern day secesh cause is so down on them and all?
