He’s president because he was sworn in as president. You could swear in a bowl of petunias, and then it would be president.

A better president.

But the political implications of having run and then certified an ineligible candidate for the Presidency would be huge and unprecedented. Obama would have to step down (or risk civil war), and the Democrats and all their minions would be permanently stained. 30% of the country would continue to vote for them, but that 30% are poltroons anyway.

Are you sure about that? Isn't it the same as transferring stolen or ill-gotten goods?

I think there would be threats of civil violence from the usual race baiters if Obama was removed from office. Too f’ing bad. If he is not eligible, he’s gotta go, no matter what race, etc.

If the bowl of petunias was over 35, had lived in the US for over 14 years, had won the electoral college vote, and was a natural born citizen, then yea I guess after the bowl of petunias took the oath, which might prove difficult, since they can neither talk nor write, it would be President.

Presidents are not "sworn in" in a formal sense, even though it's commonly put that way. The Constitution merely requires that they take the oath, sometime before entering office, it certainly doesn't require that the Chief Justice do the "swearing in", or that it be done in a big public show, or even orally.

Look it up.
