On the theory that Stanley telegraphed or Telexed her mother (in Hawaii) the birth news I contacted the corporate archivist for Western Union. She said they did not keep copies of telegrams for privacy reasons and what records they had from the 60’s were destroyed long ago. They also did not keep billing records- most likely to avoid tax issues.
