Everytime I think I’m out, YOU PULL ME BACK IN!!!

I was so disheartened and hoosiermama brought up something I had wondered about.

THE FIRST DAY the BC was darker and more frayed as well as had a tear on the top right hand corner.

Now it doesn’t.

Ok, back on the bandwagon. Dangit :o)

Autumnrain, Hoosiermama, please folks. Read this and accept that it is the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

The original Kenyan Birth Certificate image posted on FreeRepublic, in Reply #52 of this thread, was made by ME, Swordmaker.

It was a conversion of a captured image from Orly's FLASH display at 2:02AM PDT on Sunday, August 2, 2009. It was posted to FR at 2:10AM that same morning. The PNG image that I captured was 860K in size, which is far too large and wasteful of bandwidth for general internet use, so when I uploaded it to my image hosting website, I had it converted to a 70% JPEG, which resulted in a file only 87K in size. This, unfortunately, resulted in some artifacting, notably the conversion of the "E" in the name "E.F. Lavender" to the illusion of a "K", and the conversion of the "O" in the number "47,O44" to the illusion of a "6". These illusions caused a lot of controversy about "replaced" images, "trial versions," and conspiracies.

Freeper Salamander, in an attempt to make MY JPEG image a little more readable, loaded it into an image manipulation application and removed the background of the striped tablecloth or bedspread, and darkened the image to enhance the lettering for better visibility. The process there was less than successful, and either a slip of the hand, or an error in conversion, the fold at the top right corner was partially removed by the tool used to remove the background, resulting in the illusion of a tear. The choice of too coarse of a tool resulted in the edges of the BC image without the background appearing to have rough pattern, giving the appearance of either being serrated or torn on all sides from a pad. All of this was artifacting from the process.

Salamander has profusely apologized for the creation and posting of this image. I have also accepted responsibility for the creation of the "E" -> "K" and "O" -> "6" brouhaha.

Neither of these altered images EVER appeared on Orly Taitz's website or hosting site. They were merely misguided attempts to be helpful in displaying the object under discussion. Neither image was EVER intended to undergo a proctological, forensic examination, or to have any probative information gleaned from them.
