It wasn't really their fault (except for being gullible) or even the Palins' fault (even though it wouldn't have hurt to clarify that she wasn't announcing today), but it just shows that this is more of a circus than a serious Presidential primary campaign.
Tuning into a raunchy morning show thousands of miles away for some little nibble of information on whether someone is going to run for leader of the free world?
Kind of sad really. I can't imagine Perry supporters getting sweaty and excited by tuning into Jim Bob and Cletus in the morning on KHIK in Amarillo just to hear something about the campaign.
You are absolutely right...
...NOBODY is excited enough about Perry to do much of anything.
If Perry gets the nomination, I’ll support him lukewarmly, just like everybody else. He’ll be an average president and our country will continue to slowly sink into the abyss.
The tragedy - and not coincidentally why so many are emotionally invested in Palin - is 2012 is a very rare opportunity to elect a movement conservative who will actually reduce the size and reach of the federal government.
Its not about her, and it never was - it is about what she represents and truly believes. People are passionate about her running, because they are passionate about their country.
The only passion surrounding Perry is the passion for getting rid of zero without any consideration as to what they are putting in his place.
Perry supporters are always sweaty.
