Again, not a big deal: There is no candidate running to “extoll the virtues of.” Just want to record a Neither vote and I’ve chosen the Constitution party candidate Goode as the recipient of my vote for President.
Our nation is already sick and you seem to believe that Romney will be good medicine, or better than Obama. I do not. And there’s plenty of evidence that has convinced me not to vote for Romney.
Still, there are Conservatives running for other offices and they get my support.
Yes, we were also told the McCain defeat would bring change to the GOP.
Then in 2010 when the Tea Party elections at all levels of government occurred - nothing.
Romney losing will not usher in radical change to the GOP. I seriously do not believe it until all the old party farts are gainfully unemployed.

Sounds like a campaign button or a bumper sticker. Not very persuasive. Republicans on Free Republic think higher of Romney and the Republican party than I believe is warranted.

You think 1 election is going to change 80 years of trouble? If you think it will, you're delusional. I'm not going to tell you to vote for Romney because I'm not 100% certain I'll do so. Those "party elites" you talk about are elected by party members which means they can be defeated by party members. It takes more than bitching on a message board to get things done. It takes organization, hard work, and patience.

Voting for an abortion-lover is a sin. I am accountable for my vote to God and that vote will NOT be given to an abortionist.
I’m not trying to convince you about Mr. Romney.
But to use a vote that might re-elect Mr. Obama will not be helpful to the nation.
Second term for Mr. Obama: Disaster. Things can always get worse.
I am a practical politician. I never voted for Mr. Romney. He looks like he’ll get the nod, so I vote for him. Anybody but Obama. If I thought Mr. Goode had a chance, I’d vote for him.
When a 3rd party gets the majority control of one state legislative chamber through even a coalition, I'll start listening. One 1/2 of one chamber. About 45 state rep sets here and 16 state senate senate seats could do it here. That's it. Until that happens, 3rd parties are a protest vote and I'm wasting my time, money and effort unless I do protest vote, which I have done in the past.
Teddy Roosevelt as an ex-president lost his 3rd party run. So did governors like George Wallace and Strom Thurmond. So did billionaires like Ross Perot, not to mention Nader, Bob Barr, and Pat Buchanan. Outside of Roosevelt, Wallace, and Thurmond, they won nothing. Most don't get 2%.

I certainly share your disgust with the GOP and have had the same feeling for some time.
When I go to vote, at least in NY, MOST but not all candidates usually run on both the GOP and the Conservative lines. After the best president in my life time, RR, I now only vote on the Conservative line but I remain a registered Republican so I can have some (very limited say) on who they run. The NY GOP is not known for giving a lot of options during a Primary but there are some.
Is this similar in other states? Is it possible that if all like minded individuals voted on the Conservative line the GOP would get the message or is it as I fear, the progressives have corrupted the GOP like they did to the democrats and there is no way to get their attention?
What would happen in your state if the Conservative line constantly received more votes than the GOP even if they were for the same candidate?
Romney is not my first choice, he certainly has a lot of warts and questions. But there is no question that he loves the USA will be a hell of a lot better POTUS than the imposter currently occupying the White House. Those that choose to go 3rd party or pout and sit home will have no one to blame if Bam gets another 4 years.
