I’m hoping Romney and Ryan support and fundraise so vigorously for conservative House and Senate candidates that many conservatives will grudgingly vote for them.
After all, if we have the House we have the key anyway.

And that’s the ONLY thing he can do for conservatives before the election to change minds.
Whatever he may say just isn’t going to make much difference.

I've voted in ten consecutive Presidential elections, every one for which I was legally qualified.I'm proud to say that every single vote I've cast was for a candidate who received at least 100 Electoral votes. Some of those candidates received the *majority* of the Electoral votes, some didn't.Not a single one of the candidates I voted for was,IMO,perfect. Most of them weren't even close. But each one was at least somewhat superior, and most were substantially superior,to their Rat opponent.Being a lifelong Massachusetts resident and understanding Massachusetts politics far,far better than most Freepers,I know that Romney, although quite imperfect, will be at least a somewhat better, and very possibly much better,in his first term than will Osama Obama in his second. As a result,

I'M STILL VOTING FOR ROMNEY!!!

I'm with you Jim.

I like Ryan and if he were on top of the ticket or the running mate of a genuine conservative I would happily support the ticket.

Myth is using Ryan to shore up conservative support, but he will silence Ryan if they win.

As for Mormonism, just wait for the networks to run all sorts of "special reports" about the history of Mormonism and what they believe, these programs will start airing as soon as the nomination is official. As best I can tell, Mormonism is a lot like Scientology, they just don't have movie stars.

Got a call yesterday from MA. The guy identified himself and asked if I would be willing to contribute $200 to the Romney campaign.

“No ;’#$ing way”, I told him. “I will promise you one thing though, I will hold my nose and vote for your man. I think we are stumbling into another McCain moment where we will have to choose between the lesser of two evils.”

I promised to send him 10% of what he asked. He thanked me and even called me ‘Sir’.

No disagreement here JR. I can’t vote for Mitt Rimney any more than I can vote for Barry Obozo.

I understand. I fully support your right- & everyone’s, to speak their mind & vote as their conscience requires. As much as I dislike Romney (I like Paul Ryan a LOT!), I fear what will become of our country under 4 more years of 0bama much, much more. I abhor all that’s happened, not just for the past 4 years, but resulted from the democrats’ control of Congress from 2006 to 2010.

I hope our moderators relent. FREE Republic lives up to it’s name.

God Bless you, Jim, & everyone at Free Republic!

Jim, I am NOT with you on this issue, brother.

Mormons are not Christians; they believe in a false “prophet” that Jesus warned us about. I agree.

That said, I have to choose between a wannabe anti-Christ who will be a lame duck pResident who will finish his work destroying this once great country of ours and a Mormon. I will vote for mitt and then puke my guts out and take a bleach shower afterwards, but I will.

A conservative voter staying home is voting for that POS who currently occupies OUR White House illegally. Are you going to “vote” for IT by not voting and advocate that freepers do the same? Then I am disappointed in you, Jim.

Signed,
A future bannie. So be it but I had to speak my mind.

The question must be, are you are much happier having an Obama administration with Democrats in control of our demise then choking down your disagreement with Romney and the few positions that you have a problem with and slowing it from happening in your lifetime.

Sometimes (oft-times) things don’t go exactly the way you want. You make do with the cards you were dealt. In this case, we failed to get a better pick for Prez. So we make do, and meanwhile stay focused on the primaries for future races. Eventually we will win, if we don’t feel defeated.

Ryan is a great pick but he could pick my Aunt Tilly and still get my vote against Obama.

God Bless you Jim Robinson. I don’t say that lightly because I know HE will.

I am SO THANKFUL for this post of yours. I was beginning to lose heart in my fight against Obama and Romney on FR. As I keep telling the ABO crowd, they aren’t going to like a Romney administration and will have serious buyer’s remorse if they get one. Of course, will ALL know that having Obama to continue as POTUS will be a horrific thing.

I’m sorry to see Ryan agree to go along with being a second banana to Romney. I think it hurts his credibility as a conservative champion of fiscal conservatism. I think it was a very clever ploy on Romney’s part to “flip” him to the dark side. However, I will not engage in rhetoric against Ryan. Him being the VP will NOT moderate Romney’s leftest ways. It just lulls more “full conservatives” (being Social, national defense, and fiscal) into drinking the cyanide laced Romney Koolaid....stirred to a deadly concentration by the GOP establishment that produced him.

Romney, however, continues to be fair game and I will continue to attack his liberal record on abortion, homosexuality, big government statism....and his Mormon cultic ties. All these past stances (and his religious beliefs) define what kind of POTUS he would be....and it isn’t much of an improvement over Obama. Certainly not enough to back him - he just isn’t a tolerable option for a real conservative.

I will be voting third party for the office of POTUS this November.

Again, “may the Lord Bless and keep you, and make His face to shine upon you.”

Obama can not be given four more years to destroy the fabric of traditional America. That is my position and I will vote accordingly.

After some of obama's commercials saying how Romney would end "a woman's right to choose" I had to admit I didn't really know what was true one way or another about Romney's stance.

I stumbled upon a site that clarifies his record and makes this claim:

If you fear Obama, you'll vote for Romney. If you fear God, you won't.

I’ve been done over trying to state what you have said.

Seems to me that the GOP is saying to the south and the base
Shut up you have no where to go, we don’t give a damn about your social policies or views and after all where you going to go anyway.

The GOP to me is also saying we care about the pockets and to hell with social issues, who cares if we have cross dressers in the military , having homo parties on the base, who cares about people killing babies etc

Hannity and other others have no balls to mention conservative social issues and the elitist GOP for damn sure couldn’t careless as they don’t want to upset their liberal and fecal sex pals.

Romney thinks it's okay for two homosexual men or women to be able to adopt and raise children. He truly is a sick bastard. And his faith mocks God and Jesus Christ.

Obama, on the other hand, is flat out evil and will pay a heavy price one day for pretending to be a Christian.

It really seems that God has given this country a very perplexing final exam question.
