>>There are really only two options. Either we have forums or we have echo chambers.<<

The number of posts in each makes it obvious which gets the most attention and active participation. I for one welcome the opportunity offered here to openly debate what scripture teaches. All in all I think the moderators do an excellent job and I commend them. Jesus Himself said there would be divisions.

Luke 12:51 Do you think that I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division. 52 For from now on in one house there will be five divided, three against two and two against three. 53 They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.”

Freedom of speech, freedom of the press, do not exist to protect our delicate ears from hearing things we do not like. They exist to protect the right of speech we might hate or find offensive...

There was a time when there was no "religious" forum" and people complained that they did not like the religious debate threads on the news feed..and so JR began the religious forum

No one forces anyone to read the titles or subject matter that is on the religious forum ...by simply limiting the forums one chooses to read they can stay out of the "cesspool ".

Having a vigorous debate or discussion on the Religion forum should strengthen ones faith ... if it does not, that is not the fault of the forum ...maybe one needs to look at what they believe

Indeed, moreover, the idea that RCs should be able to incessantly post articles about their church, while it claims to be the one true church, and relegates all outside her to being deficient in grace, and all Prot churches as not even being worthy of the proper name "church," and not be challenged, is itself arrogance. And some of the self-righteous complaining borders on insolence.
