Mom, daughter charged with incest after marrying in Oklahoma

A woman and her daughter are facing incest charges after authorities learned the pair were legally married in Oklahoma this year, and that the mother had married her son a few years earlier.
The motivation behind the March marriage was unclear Wednesday, when 43-year-old Patricia Ann Spann and her daughter, 25-year-old Misty Velvet Dawn Spann, made initial appearances in Stephens County district court.
Under Oklahoma law, marrying a close relative is considered incest whether or not a sexual relationship exists. …

Heartwood, there is a true "public purpose" -- a social stake --- a rational policy goal --- in recognizing the
man-woman sexual relation of a stable kind, i.e. marriage, because it is the ONLY kind of sex than can of itself
produce a dependent third party.
Marriage has taken many forms across the cultures and the centuries, but it has always and everywhere been predicated on the sexual union of male and female and their mutual duties toward each other and their offspring--- until about 15 minutes ago.
This is one reason why why homosexual "marriage" is so absurd. Why are they more "special", more in need of a recognized twosiness than fellow card-players, garage band members, or tennis partners?
Why would you want the state to define and regulate other kinds of affective bonds?? Do we need a State Human Fellowship Authority or a U.S. Department of Licensed Friendship??
