To all:
I would hope your appearances and posting on these pages states your desire to undo years of liberal policies in this land I hope we all dearly love. I would hope that a hundred successful LibertyPost.org and FreeRepublics would advance the cause we all hold near and dear.
From what I have read here it seems many are more interested in fighting each other than they are in advancing the cause of individual liberty and limited constitution government as envisioned by our forefathers.
If my second paragraph is the truth, shame on you.
Let us stop the petty bickering about crap that doesn't amount to a hill of blue beans and get on with the job at hand.

It's economics 101. With a limited resource, you have to make choices. And if you let one of the tinfoilers in, you have to let them all in. And then the forum becomes some junkyard of crap that you have to wade through to get to the good stuff, and then the normal people will get tired of it all and leave.
And still, no matter what you do, there'll always be complainers.
I think you made the right choices.
BTW I am hiding in your cupboard, I saw rip the tag off your pillow that says not to remove it, I will report you to the FBI....you know, in the interest of national security and all. If you could break that law, there is no telling what other laws you are capable of breaking. ;^)
I got a bit of that flame-broiling myself. But if you can't take the heat, don't sit on the grill, or something like that (note, go get another beer once I have finished this response).
But in the end, we knocked down TIPS. Doesn't mean it won't get back up, but the ref is counting. It was a good, robust debate, and only a couple of posters went over the top in ragging folks who opposed it. I can deal with that...
This presupposes that I went "looking" for something. I checked it out at the request of a friend telling me how it was a new site that I might like. While there, that's what I noticed and noticed a bunch.
And I haven't went back since. And, no, I will not go back there. I'm not complaining, either. I was correctly taught that it's better not to go where you are not "welcome."
Rest assured that if i have a gripe with a pulled post, it will be directed to you.
It gets old after a while. That's all.

That's a deep verse, Jim. Without going too far OT into preaching, the first thing some people don't see in this verse is that it is the valley of the shadow of death, not the valley of death. IOW, it only looks like death; it's just the illusion of death.
Second, many would be comforted by the Shepherd's staff, guiding, leading, and protecting, but few would see comfort in the Shepherd's rod. The rod - instrument of correction and pain - as a comforter? Only those who've experienced the truth of God's rod can understand the power it has to comfort.

LibertyPost.org has no axe to grind with Free Republic, and we have limited discussion of FR to a topic that is not visible to the casual visitor. We plan to put a disclaimer there that all visitors and posts that occur there are at their own risk, as it is an unruly and unmannered area. Unfortunately, those who visit there, are primarily AFreepers. However, we hope that over time, their vitriolic attacks will eventually cease, and they can join in discussions of importance.
We are NOT anti-semetic. You may have us confused with LibertyForum, which I understand has a lot of that, but I have not visited there. I am Jewish, and would not condone those actions on LibertyPost.org.
I am sorry that our site has caused you problems. Our intention was to give those banned people that had something to say, that was not part of your site's interest, another place to go. And for those who were complaining about all the posts missing and threads pulled another option. And that was all.
We hope to develop the site into one that is educational regarding the Constitution, and have several writers interested in submitting material for our exclusive publication. Our goals are entirely different than yours, as we have no party affiliation, or interest....Just the Constitution.
Personally, I like and enjoy Free Republic, and visit several times a week. Just like magazines and newspapers, they all have a different "take" on the news, and a different angle. So our sites are different in goals and interests, and yet similar in format.
This is directed at those folks on all three forums (fora?) who engage in attacking another of those sites: Jesus, people - we are just talking about websites! Are your lives so empty? Are you still puzzled as to why no one wants to have lunch with you at work, and why your kids don't talk to you? What the hell is your collective problem?
I never knew memorizing that movie would come in handy some day! Only on FR...

LibertyPost will survive or it won't on its own merits. The web is very democratic that way.
