Should we still worry about Osama?

eliminate the taliban and find Osama bin Laden. Some claimed he would be caught within a year, other have said that he is sick and holed up along the border with Pakistan. One thing is clear to me, and that is that much of the freedom Osama enjoyed in 2001 is now gone, and al Quada is no longer being run by the skinny guy with a scraggly beard. Sure, if we had used John Kerry's plan, OBL would be kickin' it in Gitmo, but of course nobody in the Bush administration would listen. And Al Gore invented the internet, by the way.

Many in the media say that the war on terror hasn't produced much, and to that I say they are wrong. Over 500 of Osama's people, including a banker, his IT manager and several lieutenants squealed like a third grader crying uncle.

According to reports from the Pakistani's, Osama is not living in a rat-hole somewhere along the Afghan border. Most of his top people are dead or have been captured, so should we still be afraid of the him?

I never was afraid of him. That's not to say I wouldn't like to see him strung up from an oak tree somewhere.

While it would be justice done if we could capture him and send him to his virgins and young boys, if we in fact did so you can be sure the Dems would claim the "war is over," try to pull the plug on funding and let our enemies have at us.

He should be on our "to do" list, we still owe him personal payback for Barbara Olsen, just to list a #1 on a list of 3,000.

And he still might be able to strike at us, although he hasn't since 9/11. That's part of the war on terror: all their attacks have to be mounted in secrecy, because if we get any definite intelligence at all about their upcoming moves, we can forestall them. So almost by definition we will have no foreknowledge of their successful attacks.

Fear him? No. He's just a minor punch list item on the list of things to do in finishing up Iraq and Afghanistan.

Our priorities have to be Al-Qaeda 2.0, North Korea and Iran.
