The Atheist Christmas

Posted on 11/29/2005 4:39:18 AM PST by 08morganl

Alright, what is the deal with the atheists in this country. For 11 months out of the year, they do nothing but say that there is no God and that Christians like me are wasting my time going to church.

However, that all changes once the last month of the year comes rolling around. The Christmas season, December. Right after thanksgiving, every atheist in this country becomes a Christian. Of course, how typical, people become a Christian during the holiday that is know for recieving gifts. They dont look at this as a time for worshiping God and his son Jesus Christ, they look at it as a time to Greedily get their hands on as many gifts as possible. Don't get me wrong, I love getting gifts as much as any other person. The difference between me and them though, is that I actually worship God more than the gifts. The atheists need to quit stealing my holiday and get their own.

Nah, the clever atheists become Jews. Eight days of presents, baby!

I tried Kwanzaa, but it was such a drag. All that corn and family.

How so you know how they look at it?

How do you know they aren't going broke buying as many gifts as possible?

(How old are you?)

I wonder if the ACLU has office holiday parties ? Are any of them Christians ? Do jehovah witnesses celebrate any holidays ?

BTTT.

The atheists are like little kids fighting over a toy. They don't want it but they don't want us to have it either, so they'll try to 'break' it so we can't enjoy it.

Like your analogy. It's hard to understand the motivation of those who need to destroy things that others enjoy and doesn't harm them in the least.

"Alright, what is the deal with the atheists in this country."

This question was asked a long time ago...

Psalms 2:1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed...

You know, non-Christians actually give gifts as well as receive them. But don't let logic interrupt your Two Minutes Hate.

The really hilarious thing is, while all these ignoramuses are ranting on about 'stealing' Christmas, they are apparently unaware Christmas was itself an appropriation of the Roman Saturnalia or the Winter Solstice festival at its conclusion. Jesus was most certainly not born in the wintertime.

I say Io Saturnalia and go get your own holiday, interlopers!

That's right. They are free to ignore it. I think they see a little bit of what they are missing, even the Christianity part and not just the watered down secular version, and are mad. Mad at themselves, at Christianity (some of them probably were Christians at one time), at everything that reminds them that, hey, maybe there really is a God afterall. And so they have to rush to erase it. Or try. Newdow is a good example, so is the woman (O'Hara?) who got prayer out of schools, though she later returned to faith, I read.

I think you're thinking of Madelaine Murry O'Hare whose son became a Christian. My recollection is that O'Hare herself was murdered, apparently by a family member I think for her money. But she is definitely dead and now is fully aware that there is a God although she will be separated from Him for eternity.

I posted to you on the forum, no reason to take it to mail.

What I posted wasn't ridiculous. You coming on here boasting of what a great Christian you are is ridiculous. You were judgemental and full of pride in your one little post.
