Today, Trump slammed Jeb for trying to justify what he says is an unjustifiable war: “He said ‘skin in the game.’ I don’t know if you saw his recent statement…We’ve spent two trillion dollars, thousands of lives lost, wounded warriors who I love all over the place. And he said we have to prove we have skin in the game. I think it may be one of the dumbest statements I ever heard.” Trump concluded that thought by saying Jeb should apologize to the families affected by the war. Jeb seemed to be one of Trump’s favorite targets at the...

This is the biggest bunch of bull stereotype on the planet. Americans are the strange ones here, as we have to always put on a false face and smile all the time, for various cultural reasons. When a person has a disease that cannot be cured, do you think doctors should be allowed by law to end the patient’s life by some painless means if the patient and his or her family request it? At first blush, the idea that a euthanasia should be allowed seems to follow a logic. If a person is suffering and wishes to end that suffering then who has the right to tell them no? It is their life, right? Only some troglodyte Bible thumper could possibly deny a person the simple mercy of ending their suffering. In this way it...

With their numbers approaching 100,000 as a consequence of the troop buildup ordered by President Obama in December, U.S. troops now account for about two-thirds of the NATO force in Afghanistan. And American casualty rates are commensurate with that dominance, making up more than two-thirds of July's Western military fatalities, according to figures provided by, an independent website. With NATO allies distancing themselves from the notion of an open-ended stay in Afghanistan, the American aspect of the war comes increasingly to the fore.

They’re still around. Being funded in Afghanistan by the State Department (that would be President Obama’s State Department), as a matter of fact. After private Blackwater contractors opened fire in Iraq and killed 14 civilians in September 2007, Obama jumped on it. He went so far as to say his fixes for Blackwater specifically were the the toughest reforms of any Presidential candidate.
